Is there somewhere free on the net that you can go to check? I think I type about 30-40 wpm, could be more but I never learned to type properly. I'd be curious to know the limit if you don't learn proper technique.

What keyboard are you using? hmm I am about the same... poop once you finish the word though it doesn't let you backspace which is shitty as I type gramatically different to what they do.

Wow, I thought I was fast with my 92 WPM. (92WPM is high compared to everyday office folks). I hope my keyboarding class helps me improve this. Although it is just a basic keyboarding class that requires you to get 25 WPM by the end of the semester, I am looking to improve to by that much just for a challenge by the end of the semester.

If you calculate your 140 WPM, that's approximately 8400 words per hour. If you make each article approximately 1000 words each (fairly lengthy), that would be about 8 articles an hour. (Amazing).

Im @ about 72 wpm. That typing test is kind of worthless. It starts you off with the easy test. Take the harder tests for more accurate times..

Wow. That's a lot. You must be making a lot on the ad revnue sharing thing.

I never took the time to learn to type properly, so I don't think I want to find out what my WPM is.

Alis, got impressed by your figures

Anyway I do type at 98 WPM when typing in English, and 122 WPM when typing in Italian. I noticed although that when retrying the test many times, precision was lowering and WPM too. You can do a free typing test at www.typingtest.com (available in several languages also).
