Adbrite fails 100% for me, I just kept clicking my own ads over and over, no ban but not making much at all. Try adsense.
Actually, getting advertisers is very easy. Go to sites as your own, and contact their advertisers. Many of us are always looking for more places to advertise in. You can also go to Yahoo, MSN and Google (Adwords) to contact the advertisers there. Just click on their ads to go to their site, and send them an e-mail. Just sweeten the deal to get them to come over by telling them they can have more ad space, along with a picture. There are advertisers all over the place. But, if you still prefer to go with a ad network, let me know. I have a list of them that more seasoned advertisers use to get the word out about their sites.
Nobody answered me if any of those network will accept a music file sharing forum where some members might have posted link to download illegal stuff... I'm pretty sure it is against adsense terms of use, but i don't know for others yes for now i would prefer an ad network rather than selling my own ads. I opened my website 1 month ago and i can display only 20K ads per day maximum, also i have no idea how much i would charge to advertiser and how to calculate the price (CPM? CPC? cost per day ?)... Sounds very complicated to me. And also like i said my website is a punk music forum, so i guess the only possible advertisers would be bands, and i don't know any of them willing to pay for ads I also put a link to "advertise on this website" (with adbrite) on top of all webpages but nobody bought any ad spot, even if my prices are low
I also have the project of opening many more similar websites... I believe those websites have a great potential and will quickly grow bigger as more peoples hear about it (i can PM you the URL if you want so you can see by yourself). It has a LOT of content and fresh downloads and content is added every day. But first i need to find a way to moneytize those websites, because if i only get 0.20$ per additional website it's a waste of time...
You make things way too hard and complicated. On top of that, you are not fully listening. All I can say is good luck to ya.
i don't understand why you say that.... i'm only trying to learn, and i also don't speak english very good so sorry if i misunderstood something you said: so what ad network would you suggest me ?
Some time Adbrite didn't shows ads on website or blog. So people get confused whether ads are showing or not. Adsense is much relevant
merch comapnies maybe? i used to run a music forum and i was making 300$ a month from merch companies buying ad spots
my friends sites are really sucking because of adbrite and blacklabel, there aren't much alternatives, smowtion is very un-stable with the prices and it has only 60 - 70% share with my friends account which makes it even worse I don't think adbrite is a good choice for image upload sites and forums, in last week in one of my friend's account, there were around 150k impressions, 36+clicks and the amount generated was $2.5 that really sucks
Is it against digitalpoint rules if i post the URL of my website so you can see the ad placement ? I doubt there is a problem with my ad placement... it's just that adbrite always display crappy ads about teeth whitening and getting bigger muscles or making money on internet, obviously no one cares about clicking on those ads on a punk music forum i'm still looking for ad networks alternative to adbrite for a music file sharing forum... so far i didn't get any suggestion of a company that would accept a website like mine....
From my experience, traffic from AdBrite doesn't convert and generate revenue. Try Pulse360.com, Traffiq.com, AdBlade.com, or Advertising.com.
It's the problem with forums in general. If more visitors clicked ads, that would mean they are not interested in the forum, which also means they won't be coming back.
