I created this site back in June 2008 while I was on vacation. My goal was to create one of the largest rap/hip hop communities on the web. I think I met this goal considering there are over 9,000 members, 30,000 bars posted, and 450,000 chatbox comments.

Summary:
My16Bars is a site where amature rappers can post their lyrics or "bars" for other users to comment on and rate. Most users have become better and better at rapping and writing lyrics because of the site.

whats the income on the site? please provide info and proof

 

Income is fairly low so im not even going to bother posting it. Around $30 a month using adbrite. The new owner can add more ads or allow users to sign up to be premium members and get new benefits. There are so many ways to make money I just dont have the time

 

wow how many times can you legally say rap in one intro? lol. not a bad idea. maybe add options for uploading your own audio and beats too. i see you stopped working on it all together in 2009.

 

Not really considering we did some major site updates in the middle of 2009.

What does the site run on?

 

Im not really sure what you mean. It was custom built for me and was coded in PHP. It has a web based admin panel as well.

Can't commit to it. Custom coding adds an extra level of risk which I'd need to evaluate more closely.

Yes forums do get spammy at times because its not running on vBulletin. Like I said...there are over 9,000 members.
