yeah, i check my adsense from work and home. I hope no one from my work has clicked my ads. but how is there any way to prevent that? I offer a service and its open to anyone. It is impossible to go to every person i work with and tell them not to use my site or click the ads. I work with hundreds of people.
It's your fault to check your account on your work, no one can help you but google . just tell the true ....
I think he meant that if you checked your account in Adsense from your work - then someone from your work clicks an ad from your site (somehow) they will look at the IP's and find it odd. Do people at your work visit your site(s)?
REALLY? What about me having a DSL at home? You know my IP address changes every few days because I restart my DSL... If someone else clicked on my site from one of these IP addresses also using Verizon is it my fault also for using DSL??? This doesn't make any sense whatsoever... Truth is they don't want to protect the publishers, just the advertisers. If they did they would just discount whatever seems to be normal accidental click and that's that. You are paying "click fraud" tax there you go. They should only shut down extreme cases. Like 1 or 2 clicks will really hurt them, puhlease! But you are not the one paying the money, are you...
Google does not ban you for looking at ads on your site or I would have been banned two years ago and with 20+ sites running adsense that I look at each day..... Also Google will not ban you if you click your own ad once or twice!!!!!!! Google does not care where you log in from to check Adsense either...
Dude, I've seen some of your posts regarding Adsense, and you really need to stop talking about Adsense, because you obviously have no clue what you're talking about.
************************** I wrote to Google about this a few months ago. Here's what they said: Thank you for taking the time to email us. When you update your site and view your pages, the impressions you generate will be recorded in your account. Although AdSense publishers are not permitted to click on their own cost-per-click ads, they are permitted to view the cost-per-thousand-impression (CPM) ads on their own websites without the risk of creating invalid ad impressions. Please keep in mind, however, that these visits may cause your reports to inaccurately reflect your traffic. To prevent invalid ad impressions, Google uses the same sophisticated technology that we use to prevent invalid clicks. Simply viewing your pages yourself will not jeopardize your good standing in the AdSense program - however, please continue to avoid clicking on any ads, and don't reload your pages excessively. Thank you for your cooperation and your efforts to remain in compliance with our program policies. etc., etc., etc. ***************************************** That pretty well sums it up except for defining at what point they consider that you are reloading your pages excessively.
I never said I know anything for a fact about AdSense (who here really does) I throught we are all speculating here.... But I will keep it down a notch... Cheers
It can take up to 10 days. In my experience it seems to depend on what kind of money you were making.
Since the page is stored in your computers cache you can reload all you want without effecting Google. Next nobody has ever placed a thread stating they loaded their website excessively and were banned....thats just too far out and unprobable to be an issue. There seem to be two possibilities since the OP states no self clicks (You can click one or two without fear) and no other fraudulent actions.. Since Judd is likely to be hooked up on myspace there is the possibility he went bulletin happy and that supposedly could hurt you or there was a ton of impressions and no clicks on ads making it seem the traffic driven was by something other than naturally. Read the following page if you have further questions https://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_GB Judd I still have not heard back from my adsense rep...I will write again with a return receipt requested Peace
