Anyone else got the email alert after withdrawal (Indian Paypal Users) ??

It appears they are being reversed as well.

 

For me Also 60$ got locked in paypal.
If anybody know how to over come this problem.
Please help me.

 

Everyone wants to overcome this.. No one even knows the situation properly. I am confused, you are confused and it seems everyone is confused.

 

A PayPal spokesperson confirms that "personal payments to and from India have been suspended while we address some questions from our business partners."

By business partners, I think they meant RBI....

 

My recent transactions got reversed too.. including monthly payment by Text-Link-Ads. And as everyone is complaining, my balance got negative too


The only matter of concern for right now is whether paypal sends the withdrawn amount(marked as 'complete') to bank before solving negative balance issues or vice versa..

What is going on....guys? 'Goods' was the only option left to use and Paypal itself informed us of using the same and now... even they are reversed!
How are we supposed to get payments?

This is getting crazier by the day... and I guess it is better to suspend all our activities w.r.t Paypal for the time being.

I am surprised no other payment processor is grabbing the opportunity to market themselves and become the favored choice of Indians!

No chance.nobody received after requested on 27th Jan.
I got payment for requested on 24th jan.

As of now the only transactions that have not been reversed are subscription/recurring payments and payments made using buy now buttons in websites.

yes I have been following this thread since the beginning and I read 1-2 members of confirmed that they had received money (one of them also mentioned that it was his SBI account where he received the money)

 

* Indian users are no longer able to see the option to send a Personal payment on the Send Money page.
* They can continue to use other payment options, such as eBay checkout.
* Although India customers are unable to send Personal payments, they are still receiving Personal payments from Non India customers.
* In order to stop ALL Personal payments TO and FROM India accounts, Paypal have started reversing Personal payments (All types of Payments, whether personal or not including for Services/Goods with shipping address) sent by Non India customers starting today.
* Paypal are also in the process of implementing a change on the website to automatically stop the payment from processing, rather than waiting to reverse the payment. Paypal will send you additional updates as soon as they have more details.
* The Personal payment option on the International Send Money page has been updated and India has been removed from the ‘select a country’ drop down list.

On Reversal :

* PayPal only reversing money which occur from Feb 1,2010.
* They are reversing all transactions made as Personal Option, Gift, Other/Service option without Shipping Address as well as Goods!

Moneylife contacted the RBI to know about the PayPal issue, an official said,”We have no idea why this is happening. PayPal doesn’t come under RBI’s purview.”

No, I do not think any media in India has published this news so far. Most of the news channel are far too stupid. They are happy with dubious cases from never-heard-of crap villages where a kid falls down some hole in the ground because the parents are too stupid to take care.

Or may be the media houses would have been interested if the case involved some cocaine addicted crack head loser son of a dead politician arranging his second marriage in a dumb "reality" show.

 

As you can read from some of the above posts if the sender is sending via PERSONAL account types, only then it has issues. If he/she sends money via premier or business account then there is no such problem as per Paypal's email. They also suggest to include shipping address and selecte goods/services as category when sending money via personal account types. Is there anyone who sent money via BUSINESS OR PREMIER accounts and still got the reversal email.

Please read previous posts...I have a premier account and it got reversed...All transactions by Indians are getting reversed.....

 

It is 24 hours since I have been in this forum....I was unable to do any work today...
