Anyone else got the email alert after withdrawal (Indian Paypal Users) ??

Probably you are wrong, if we don't make withdrawl then why they are making reversal too?

 

I'll do it for $5 an hour, lest they should call me.

Most Indians will be happy to help their fellow countrymen (when it's only 10 days since Republic day)

 

yeah right..but dude this reversing action has put many into trouble some may not get those funds back..luckily for me my clients are reliable and ready to pay againif fees was a problem they could have noticed us and deducted the relavent fees from our accounts starting feb1 but reversing blindly is most insane thing i have ever seen from paypal..

I spoke to one of their customer service supervisor, she said “PayPal India is having problems with RBI (Reserve Bank of India) in terms of NEFT” This means, PayPal US released funds to India. Unfortunately, PayPal India is not able to release the funds to the customers in India due to the problem in NEFT. So, the funds are with PayPal India. This is the reason, withdrawal status shows as “completed”, but the funds not received.

 

I was referring to why payment has not been transferred to bank accounts.

 

They are charging for the automated reversal and that's the worst part.
Will the be returning that fee upon fixing that issue?

 

Still didn't get the fund on my bank account. Hope we have to wait till next week.

I faced same issue last year but they did not do reversals that time.
so thats the new feature this year

I hope they dont do reversals of payments received before 1st feb else it will be disaster. withdrawn money in air, January will get reversed and I will be begger

It is a technical bug...If let us say, that you transferred $100 to your bank and status shows completed..So Balance is Zero. If the funds transferred reaches your bank and they reverse it, it will be Negative Balance -$100.

But the money has not reached our banks and they are keeping it, and how will it display Negative Balance???? Even if they return the money back to sender....

So it is a technical bug....Probably they were trying to halt "personal Payments" to India and in the Process messed with all transactions to India..maybe due to a technical bug..

but the question remains " Why is it taking so long to resolve ??????"

 

Its because they probably on the way to eat up all the fees they took for reversal

Update

ICICI bank Electronic Transfer dept has confirmed that there is no issue with NEFT

So Paypal has not released payments to India..They are keeping it and reversing the payments and balance displays "Negative balance"...

 

Even Ebay India is giving us an update of the problem. Since PayPal is inter- linked with PayPal they should keep us informed. They call us 3 times for Ebay Fees reminders even before the due date. But for this issue, there has not been a single explanation even by e-mail.

 

Probably because thousands of Indian accounts have suffered this problem. They want to make sure that once they fix the issue nobody lose any money.

 

guys another stunningly WORST UPDATE from my side:

I sent $109 to my friend's account on Jan 11. I just asked him to verify whether he is safe now, and this is the update: "This account has been permanently locked with a $0.00 USD balance. All information associated with this account has been blocked from the PayPal system and cannot be registered with another account."

WTH is this????!!!!!!!!

Another Update:

A person spoke with a staff who works for Paypal's back office at Chennai. The delay is because RBI has requested documents from Paypal a month back and Paypal failed to produce it. RBI sent back the NEFT money to Paypal. It is said that Paypal has sent the documents. Now, all funds have already been sent to Paypal clearing house.

We can hope that we get the money in 2-3 days (excluding the weekend days). probably by Tuesday/Wednesday

 

Really worrying if they are reversing goods payments as they were saying they wont return. BTW why are you hating Google. What has google to do with Paypal. Hating Ebay might make sense but how does hating google make sense.
