I just started a new site that reviews 4 e-books on how to profit from testing video games, any ideas on best method to market it http://makingmoneyfromgaming.com
I would do guest posting on popular blogs related to your topic. That can bring you a lot of traffic and you can also connect with people this way. It's a great way to get traffic and free. - Jens
1. Make a video and post it to Youtube and other video sites 2. Become a member of Yahoo Groups related to gaming (be careful not to spam) 3. Answer questions on Yahoo Answers 4. Become a member of gaming forums (again don't spam, but include link in your sig) 5. I have heard submitting your site to those sites out there that tell you "how much your site is worth" helps. I haven't tried it myself.
Actualy if you want big traffic to your site, first you need good contents for users, because search engines like it. The quality content increases your ranking in search engines
First thing you need to do is to advertise your site in adword because initially you will not have any links or any articles, blogs, or many other soucre to get traffic so after you start generating traffic from any of those other then adword stop there advertising in adword and go with the method you are getting traffic....
Start a blog and exchange links with other bloggers who write related content. Cross-spread the traffic.
Forum signature and article writing are good. You can also find some other ways to get more links to your website.
The quickest way to start getting the word out there is through natural visits. Join a few gaming forums (popular, decent amount of members) and add the link to your sig. Just naturally post in topics and categories and the like, and over time your link will be clicked on and your site will be found. From there just submit to social networking/bookmarking sites, blog commenting... the usual stuff.
I quite successfully use article marketing, there is some dam fine information available on the subject, I dont think I can add links yet but here goes a try this will need to be cut and pasted into a browser - it is not a link as such just a url http://www.thearticlecannon.com You are shown the how when and why of using articles, and article directories are NOT the only place for articles. The url above is a great starting point, I spent lots of cold hard cash before finding something worthwhile that was easy to understand and follow. Regards and best of luck
