If you do some research on the Jewish calandar days were not added till centuries after its initial inception...

    • A Jewish-calendar day does not begin at midnight, but at either sunset or when three medium-sized stars should be visible, depending on the religious circumstance.

Sunset marks the start of the 12 night hours, whereas sunrise marks the start of the 12 day hours. This means that night hours may be longer or shorter than day hours, depending on the season.

Looking at other cultures we also find they did not have days when they first used a calendar

The Romans did not have weekdays in the same sense as our Monday, Tuesday, etc., however, they did have a defined markers within each month. Originally, the month and the markers were based on the moon.

      Mayans

The Haab was the civil calendar of the Mayas. It consisted of 18 "months" of 20 days each, followed by 5 extra days, known as Uayeb. This gives a year length of 365 days.

      Syrians

Assyria was a kingdom of northern Mesopotamia that became the center of one of the great empires of the ancient Middle East. It was located in what is now northern Iraq and southeastern Turkey. For accounting, the Assyrians also used a kind of week, of five days, as it seems, identified by the name of an eponymous official.

      CroMagnum Man

The animals were painted on to the walls of the chamber by Cro-magnon man, one of our close relations, 15,000 years ago. He thrived in a temperate valley in the Dordogne while the rest of Europe was held in the grip of an ice age.

Dr Rappenglueck gave a tour to David Whitehouse of the BBC. "Here it is," he said, as he headed down a passage. He was pointing to a line of dots painted half way up the wall. "Count them. Count them." Below a stunning painting of a deer was a row of 13 dots, ending in a square. "Why 13?"
"It's half of the Moon's monthly cycle," Dr Rappenglueck said. "One dot for each day the Moon is in the sky. At the new Moon, when it vanishes from the sky, we see an empty square, perhaps symbolically representing the absent Moon. "But there's more, further along." The Munich researcher gestured to me to move along the passageway. Beneath a dappled, brown horse with a dark mane was another row of dots. This time there were more of them.

"There are 29 of them - one for each day of the Moon's 29-day cycle when it runs through its phases in the sky. It was a rhythm of nature that was important to these people." Dr Rappenglueck looked around at the bulls, antelope and horses painted on the walls with such obvious admiration. "They were aware of all the rhythms of nature. Their survival depended on them, they were a part of them."

The word "day" was coined by the English from the word "daeg"

Again the bible is a book written from someones thoughts and not first hand experience.

    Peace

Those were all democrats with a few sprinkled foriegn leaders, many of whose statements were made LONG before Bush was ever in office.

In fact, if Bush lied, so did Clinton.

If, as you suggest, Bush lied, so did a whole slew of democrats and world leaders LONG before Bush was ever in office.

Then I suggest you stop thinking, as obviously you are trying to think, but nothing happens.

Not only were WMD found, but MORE wmd were found.

Thanks, but as I pointed out above, I think it's clear who is informed and who isn't.

Apparently you think I posted their quotes for something good. Nothing could be further from the truth. It shows a consistent pattern, long before Bush was in office, that not only democrats, but other world leaders all thought saddam had wmd. And as I linked above, he did.

Indeed, I quoted him to show that even ol' unca Ted, the drunk, thought there were wmd too ;)

I don't know, I'm having a good time watching you being led around the block on a leash. Obviously you didn't read what I wrote and have not a clue of where my angle is on this.

Do you still want to stick with that? :D

It would have helped if somewhere in your previous posts you had "thought" ( I know this is asking a lot from you being brain dead as you are) to specify the intent of your postings.

As you see by this statement of yours

It seemed you were coming to jetrobushes defense...

Seems you are fence riding ....hop off and take a stand on one side or the other...thanks

By the way the images from Iraq show the oil fields to be in the south...that is also what I have heard from one or two who were there recently.......when was your last foray to Iraq?

Also there were no images of WMD excerpt in the BS shite Colon Powelll (spelled wrong on purpose) used to decive most of the world pre-invasion....hence why the colon removed itself from being a further cancer to us...

And if there were WMD....why would bushy apologize for there being none found???

    Peace

My intent was quite clear, as is your dancing all over the place ;)

Nope, just calling you out on a claim you've yet to back up.

Clearly you've not been around very long in this "neck" of the woods. I'm humored though, you're the first person in almost 5000 posts who has suggested I need to take a stand on a side. Boy are you in for a big surprise when you actually start paying attention around here :D

Random thoughts? Getting your replies mixed up? My last foray into the military, after seven years, was spring of 1990. How about you?

Who is "us?" Still in denial? WMD were found. Having trouble accepting reality?

You don't follow timelines, do you? WMD were found. Accept it, find another excuse, and try again.

Are you all educated now? :D

He was showing you that Bush DIDN'T lie, and if what he said was untrue then everyone before and during that time had the same intel, which turned out to be true in the end.

Oh so a black man was the cancer? Was that it?

Sem: I'm glad you can spell "relevant." Now, if you could just put the word into practice....

Still waiting for you to give a real response to my post. Although it seems there's a lot of people in line for that so I guess I'll wait.

The only question I have about this thread is... If the thread starter gains any rev share off the start of this thread, which has grown quite large, considering the original poster got banned.

    For Kelvin

No I like keeping morons in suspense.....

    Want to know how???

    GTech

I think you need educating as I was referencing the current administration not the old one.

I was on the Iran border in 1978 when the hostages were taken and when we lost a rescue team

So as we can see I am dealing with kids....

And as we know a man cannot teach a kid anything........

    Debunked

I made no mention of the mans ethnicity

So this suggests to me you have issues with an African American having a leadership role in the US Government

    OR

You like to stir up shit putting words in other people mouths..

Which ever is your reason for that reponse.... go check the telephone pole in your own eye... before judging the splinter in someone elses eye....

    Peace to all of you...

As was I. And to illustrate how childish you sounded with "bush lied about wmd" I took the time to point out many, many others that thought there were wmd long before Bush was in office. In fact, I even corrected you on wmd in general by pointing out wmd were found.

All the rest is just fun watching you back pedal and I gotta be honest with you, you aren't do a very good job :D

Sure, and I was a screenwriter for Johnny Carson

You should have dealt with reality, and you wouldn't be in this mess ;)

So now that you've made a fool of yourself, let's get back to what you continue to ignore:

Once again, if Bush lied, so did all these nutjobs, as they (along with kerry, clinton and many others) long asserted there were wmd before Bush was in office.

And we can easily conclude that GWB is lining his pockets with oil money by what source? Here, I'll help you out, since obviously you don't keep up with current events. Bush's 2005 Tax Return.

Unless you plan on posting references to your assertions, it may be time for you to bow out gracefully.

And yet for all of his bravado and ranting not anywhere can he find a press statement that says there were WMD found during the current invasion of Iraq.

But I can show link after link of the current leader of the USA stating he was wrong and that there were no weapos of mass destruction

Next thing you know G Tech will call the white house and argue with bush that he did find these magical fruitylicious weapons....

I am seriously done here ....cant fix the disillusioned. :(

The world is blind, you are blind, and deny it all you want but the roots are there, the truth is in your own bible! You're defending a lie, and the lie is that the Koran is peaceful. Oh if anything is further from the truth then that, all you have to do is read it like I have, its really quite depressing.

Defend that. I don't think anything can be more specific then that.
