Hello ******, Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing: http://www.mysite.com/payment_gateway.php?method=paypal If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account. Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue. Thanks, PayPal
just read email they sent..no need to open link.. instead of "mysite" there was my domain.. many other vbulletin users are getting this emails.. i hope someone will find where is the problem..
I think there is some virus in the software of paypal. Thats why these things are happen. In India Paypal office is at Chennai. I am going to visit this office tomorrow to know the actual situation.
i got the same thing, so i removed reference to that ipn script at paypal. i'm hoping that does the trick.
I didnt understand what u want to say. How have u removed reference to ipn script at paypal? I didnt understand this sentence by u. ================ i got same email today..i doubt if new subscriber cant subscribe or donate to my forum due to this error? is it true?
log into paypal, click Profile. in the right column you'll see Instant Payment Notification, click that and you'll probably see that ipn script listed in there.
I found IPN preferences after clickong on profile link. but can u excatly mention in setps what have u done and what it'll do?
Edit your settings and see if that ipn script is in there, remove it, disable it, do what you gotta do. you can't see that in there?
Nothing like ipn script.. it redirects me to page to turn of/off IPN. but it's not solution to problem..problem is before a week, we werent receiving such emails and now we're. So it's not solution to root problem.
i got 3 emails over a 2 week period. i did what i described to you and removed the reference to that ipn script. so i'll wait and see. thats what i did to correct it, hopefully. i was just sharing my experience.
AGAIN GOT 3 SUCH EMAILS. and 2 were due to caqncellation of subscription by user after signing up for subscription and 1 was for non-vbulletin forum subscription. so this error isnt danger zone accoridng to me, just misinterpretation from paypal..vbulletin guys shd look into it and release fix for it..paypal might have updated it's software which is causing such problems..
Not danger zone or misinterpretation. Your IPN listener is working. IPN is a notification. Your listening can do such things as update inventory, send email, etc... You don't really need a listener, but either your payment call or profile is set to send IPN.
