Anyone else got the email alert after withdrawal (Indian Paypal Users) ??

    If they eat my money then absolutely they will eat your money,
    and if they eat our money then their stomachs should be busted out........

    Don't afraid dear,
    I have read on this forum that there was the similar problem earlier in the last year....
    and they fixed it within 15 days and this year it has been 7 days past........
    So,we have to wait more 7 days(I think),
    there are thousands or lakhs(millions if other country members are reading this) of Indian customers and sellers around us.
    Thousands of people use only paypal(including me),
    ebay.in depends on Paypal (according to my knowledge,ebay is the owner of Paypal),
    will they shut that store down.
    Thousands of people survive on ebay and get their butter and bread from them,
    So,this is not possible that they eat our money......
    I am with you!!!!!!

    I'm only speculating, but when something on a scale like this happens, it normally has to do with government or bank interference. Paypal wouldn't intentionally reverse transactions like this. Stopping transactions is one thing, but reversing them is an entirely different story.

    ebay India does not deal through paypal just for your information.. I shop quite often at ebay India and they use PaisaPay and not paypal and that is ebay's customized payment solution for ebay India :rolleyes:

    anyways I am going on my normal work again as there is no benefit in losing sleep or banging my head over it.. paypal is a responsible company and hopefully they will clear up the mess soon :)

    Don't hope so... The 'PP Team' has started grabbing our money. First withdrawal delays, Now no Personal payments. I think something will be happening again soon.

    Approx 8 pm today. They said they were keeping track of the developments of PayPal withdrawal and trying to help. I was not sure if it was safe to send those details. Date of withdrawal is 30.Jan.2010.

    I got total 15 reversals till now - GOD I am scared to check my mail/pp account now :((((((
    I hope things return back to normal soon.
    Are people getting reversals only from 1st - 4th feb transactions or did anyone get it today for todays transaction too ?

    If Paypal hasn't publicly said that the problem is corrected, I would assume that everything will continue to be reversed. You can be pretty sure that once this is resolved, they will let everyone know immediately.

    why ebay.in is fused into this topic ?? ebay.in doesnt use GayPal it uses paisapay or direct bank transactions .

    OH! thank god i found this thread, Looks like i'm not the only one facing this issue,
    I withdrawn money on 27 jan, but its 6 feb, and haven't got money in my back account, although my transaction status shows completed. Also, I didn't received any email from Paypal regrading 'Payment Delay Issue'.

    Well, i hope they fix this issue Asap.

    Finally a reply from paypal which makes atleast a bit of sense

    Dear <user>,

    Thank you for contacting PayPal.

    I understand that you want to know why the payment you received for
    $<xx.xx> USD from <user> is reversed. This payment was sent as
    Personal. We have stopped allowing Personal Payments to be sent to and
    from India. We are aware of this issue and I sincerely regret the
    inconvenience it has caused you. We are trying to resolve this as soon
    as possible. Below are the details:

    Personal Payment - Send Money for India Accounts

    · India customers are no longer able to see the option to send a
    Personal payment on the Send Money page
    · They can continue to use other payment options, such as eBay checkout.

    If this was a payment for a purchase of goods or services, and not a
    personal payment, then you may contact the buyer and have him or her
    resend the payment as follows: (a) click the Send Money tab, (b) select
    ‘Goods’, and (c) provide a shipping address.

    If this payment was a personal payment, such as a gift to a friend or
    family member, then we request that you find another payment method
    until we restore personal payments to and from India.

    Although India customers are unable to send Personal payments, they are
    still receiving Personal payments from Non India customers.

    · In order to stop ALL Personal payments TO and FROM India accounts, we
    have started reversing Personal payments sent by Non India customers
    starting today. (the only exception will be in cases where the buyer has
    included a shipping address – we don’t want to delay any shipment of
    goods)
    · Emails will be sent to both sender and recipient to let them know why
    the money was returned and what options they have to proceed forward.
    (see attached for examples)
    · We are also in the process of implementing a change on the website to
    automatically stop the payment from processing, rather than waiting to
    reverse the payment. We will send you additional updates as soon as we
    have more details.

    The Personal payment option on the International Send Money page has
    been updated and India has been removed from the ‘select a country’ drop
    down list.

    · If the payment was for a purchase of goods or services, and not a
    personal payment, then the buyer may resend the payment to the seller by
    following these steps on the PayPal website: (a) click the Send Money
    tab, (b) select ‘Goods’, and (c) provide a shipping address.

    I'll be glad to hear from you if you need clarification, please email us
    again and we will try our best to give you immediate answers. Thank you
