I've got a buddy who swears by LinkedIn for professional networking. Although he got me to sign up, I must confess I've not used it.

I try to do my networking here, but I'm actually a bit shy and it doesn't come easily:eek:

I've made some good contacts on LinkedIn (I'm ptdavis at frixer dot com there if anyone wants to connect), but never thought of it as a place to drive web traffic.

Was kind of addicted to ryze for awhile but got my account frozen for telling the truth about Pre Paid Legal being deceptive.

    adproland is a friendly place:)

Yea, I read Ryze for a while. The people there seemed, somehow, more desperate. The type who would fall easily for MLM scams.

There are some good network marketing opportunities.

PPL just ticked me off because they said I could have a free website for promotion. I put time and money into promoting it and my leads were unethically given upline to people with paid sites.

I found a new business and social networking site.

It's free to join and you can promote your business opportunity or product, recruit new associates, create your very own profile w/ video and sound that thousands can view and hear, find business networking events in your area and/or post your own, utilize the message boards, create a blog, create and manage your own network for your downlink, chat online with others, and place classified ads free.

If your interested in the link, then send me a message and I will reply as soon as possible.

    Thank you

I've joined two more since last posting on this thread. The forum doesn't work for me on one. Have had several friend request there. The other seems to be getting banned on forums.

Got three invites to join it in one day so went a head an joined it.

Started out a thread on UFO's new recording. It doesn't let you put in URLs or cut and paste.

So far Adproland is the best one that I've found. But they aren't giveing away as much for free anymore. 200 out of like 44K have upgraded.

So is your deal Bizfriend or MyLot er MyLots. Argo(sp) is also getting promoted quite a bit but I haven't joined it nor even really looked at it.

I was going to promote MyLot or MyLots a tad since it does permit a link on the profile. But when I saw it was getting banned wasn't sure I wanted to be to associated with it.

In my opinion, best site is Yuwie. The layouts are easy to change and customize, the blogs are easy, and the best thing is that people will RUN TO YOU to be your friend! It's not like the other networks where people won't add you unless they know you (Or unless they are a freak) because people are expecting to help each other make money.

Here is a link to my profile:cut and paste: profile.yuwie.com/drescher

And here is a link to the marketing video:cut and paste: r.yuwie.com/drescher

See you there! I will be your first friend.

LinkedIn is good for professional contacts so if you're marketing to businesses it's great but generally Facebook is great. You can run a group that people can join up with information that they're interested in. Facebook also has ads that run down the right hand side of the page (they aren't google ads) and I think they don't get as much competition as google ads do. At least for my location I keep seeing the same ads over and over again. Almost all of the people I'm connecting with are in their 30's and 40's so it isn't just a site for young people.

LinkedIn is good for professionals , facebook is good for social networking ,but recently I come to know about eZdia, and found interesting as here we may grow our network socially and professionally and may do some freelancing also and thus it is good for business purpose. Also like the concept of knowledge bucket there. You will like to have a look at ezdia.

Social Media Optimization for business networking is new trend. Using social networks for business purpose like
LinkedIn, Plaxo, Twitter, is effective to get traffic as well as branding & promotion.
