    634 posts so far but I do not find any which put some light on this...

    I am here to do so - There is nothing to panic - It's a good practice by paypal team .... they are getting heavy loss due to personal payments.. they noticed it so late..... The reason is so simple - We are not allowed to send personal payments in India....

    Here is partial e-mail received from pay pal ..
    Pay Pal saying they are resolving the issue - but actually there is no issue at all they have decided to stop personal payment in india..

    Well if their is issue with loss then that option should be closed worldwide. Why only Only? Also they are reversing money on Masspay Option, Service option as well as Invoice option too where we already paying fees either buyer or Seller!

    We do not see any updates in their Policy section. All i can see is the news/policy change in the rates in Japanese currency. Thats it. They are giving false statements.

    Looks like you have not read this thread throughout. We have no issue with paypal stopping personal payments but they need to do it on a prospective basis not on a retrospective basis. Besides, they are also returning payments sent using masspay by affiliate networks which are clearly not personal payments. Several have reported that paypal is returning payments sent using the service option which in terms of fees is as profitable to paypal as the goods option is.

    What? No issue at all? Don't they have sense to make it as an announcement to do so? If they are a good team, their system should never allow to make such payments/transactions or withdraw such things.

    You may be a good enough to loose 10K $ & kind-hearted.

    Its clearly not just personal payments that is banned. EVEN if they want to ban Services payment, they could have done that by putting up a notice, or a message on the home page of paypal.com which they use so much for showing seasonal offers. It would helped save time for heck a lot of people. The whole thing has left us suspended, not knowing wat to do with a huge negative balance on paypal account.

    Lot of people here are making misleading comments.....It is a technical bug in PayPal system..maybe they were trying to change some India specific policies and got messed up in the process..most likely..

    May be u forget to go through the thread we never said about the personal payments. We are asking them abt the service transactions and mass reverse ... And they havent updated any thing on there policies ...In same way they did for Japan but before doing that they added in upcoming Policy updates ..May be u missed it

    Thats correct. But, they should accept this. They should not lie to us when we seek clarification. Also, they should compensate/bear the loss due to the problem in their system. It is the customer should not be affected due to the bug in their system/their mistake.

    Its not a small road side company to implement the changes. They need to test the functionality and then they should modify the things. But they are testing on us which leads to great confusion.


    Proper announcement should be there when they do the things.
