Arial is used better for small text. One of my favorite fonts is Trebuchet MS.

Yeah, which is why I was curious to know if anyone actually used serif fonts in the body of their sites, given that blocks of text are 'supposed' to use serif fonts. In print, practically everyone applies the rule, whereas on the web it doesn't seem to be applied so religiously.

Hummm screen and paper are two whole different stories. Serif fonts in block text on your computer screen? Ugh this is ugly! Ok seriously no one ever said to use serif on webpages. Because of screen resolutions, it's just harder for the eyes after a few minutes, and you want to do everything you can to keep your visitors, no?

Serif fonts are good for Word (printing). Or titles if you want. I do use a lot of handscript and special fonts in titles to customize my websites.

I would have to agree with Verdana for smaller fonts.
