DP forum signatures

    Hey guys :)

Was curious because I have just added a signature for the first time as to whether it adds your signature onto previous posts you've made. I've been on forums where all the posts you've made get updated with your new signature. Has this been eliminated to reduce the processes that occur and free up the server a bit or does it just take a while to update?

"when you put a sign link updates"?

Please explain, no one has clearly answered the question.

On the previous post you've made that is already posted without signature so it will stay the same.

Your signature will only be shown on your latest post where you have your signature already.

If your current post count is 100 and you put up content in your signature space for the first time today, then all subsequent posts from post 101 will show it. Also all changes to your signature thereafter gets suitably reflected in all the posts from 101. The previous 100 posts will always remain blank and they would never be updated! :)

One way to make sure that your signature appears on subsequent post is to tick the button that reads 'Show your signature' just below the entry box.

    Good luck

many forums like warrior forum has dofollow links, so the more posts u have, that many links u will get.

I'd say this is a Vbulletin board, they can in the admin panel rebuild all signatures, but it is a manual thing they have to do.

With vBB platform, your link will be showed in your signature immediately when you update it. If you want Google count this link, you should wait to them update it. I don't know how long !

Yes it does go back and correct old posts with your new sig. Although it takes G quite a while to find all those old posts so YMMV

A backlink signature is why I'm getting involved at Digital Point. We're a new SEO company and need our own links in. I could get in on our SEOMoz forums, but they are nofollow. I need more for my time spent online. DP offers this. Thanks DP.
