Both sounds to be the good one but most probably i will like to have the first one or i can have both of them and use redirect technique.

The only redirect I know of that is good/OK with Google is a 301

But no they don't like others much - you could always put a one page minisite up on the non hypenated just in case and link very prominently to the other URL

That would be what I would do personally...

I decide to buy two of them, but if London-apartment-for-rent.com will be the main site, what should I place in another one?

Well you have covered your bases by grabbing both, so just put up a one page minisite with some good SEO text content in place with a very prominent link to your other domain and clear instructions to go there.

I will PM you as can probs help RE that

The other one can be a blog site that tells more the detail information about the topics in your main site or it can be a forum site.

Not a bad idea a blog on the other would also be good, in fact possibly better than a one page minisite.

Best way to find out is to cover your bases again and install a blog on a .co/keyword-phrase domain name just in case and still keep your options open by doing what Matt Cutts did here www.mattcutts.com just in case

Just bear in mind you need to get some things in place on a blog to keep control of it and stop spammers and abuse

I would be one of those that would disagree with using hyphens for domain names. While they both will likely be treated identically from an SEO perspective, there is a big difference from a user perspective.

Using hyphens in URLs is different depending on if you are talking about the domain name itself... or the path (page and folder) portion of the URL.

The domain name is probably the BEST chance you have of a user remembering ANY URL on your site. If they can't remember the domain name then they are damn sure not going to be able to remember some page name 3 levels deep in your site.

So I pick domain names for users... I pick names that are as short as possible, easy to remember, and easy to type... for users. I WANT them to remember my domain name. Adding hyphens in domain names makes them longer than they need to be, harder to remember, and definitely harder to type.

Search engines RARELY have problems detecting when keyword phrases appear in a domain name. Worse case, your domain ranks well for an extra search phrase that you might not have planned or wanted to rank for... Search engines have been looking for keyword in hyphenless domain names and folder/page names for over a decade. Until a few years ago you almost NEVER saw domains with hyphens in them.

To use revelations-decoder's example (which is an old one), expertsexchange.com will get a big boost for searches for both "expert sex change" and "experts exchange". This is only bad because of the association with "sex" if the intended interpretation was "experts exchange". These types of exceptions where a domain name can be split into multple EXACT matches are very rare... I'd guess literally 1 in a million. So it's not something you need to worry about.

Using hyphens in folder and page names simply helps the engines parse the folder and page names easier when looking for keyword phrases. In MOST cases other than looking for exact match keyword phrases in the domain, there is really not much of a boost for keyword phrases in the URL... The boost you get from even exact match in a page or folder does not begin to compare with the boost from an exact match in a domain name. And you lose NOTHING from a user perspective because no user is going to remember my-targeted-keyword-phrase.com/some-folder-name/some-page-name.html anyway.

I vote the non-hyphenated version. And have even heard Cutts recommend the same thing at Pubcon.

Many SEO GURUs in the industry have said that more than 3 hyphens in a domain name can raise a red flag. So...As a general practice try to choose a domain name without hyphens.

First of all, you have 4 words in your domain - that is too long. People may have a hesitation remembering where the hyphens go, when they try to type in your domain name in the browser. also "for" is a stop word that is not indexed. Take these factors into account when deciding which domain you want to register.

    Both are correct.
Crawler and SEO point of view both are correct.
User point of view it is easy to understand with hyphen
