Is yahoo messenger safe to used?

i just wondering yahoo messenger safe to used, cause someone login on my account.

 

Safe for what? It's just a chat client. You planning a bank heist?

There is no such thing as anonymity online. Everything you do is tracked and stored somewhere.

yes yahoo messenger is used to safe but if you have shared your account details with anyone then you have to take care. you can change your password frequently.

 

Nobody can say that it is safe to use. The best security practice however will make sure you minimize the chances of it being exploited. Some steps you can do:

1. Implement a firewall on your local computer/network.
2. Make sure to update your yahoo messenger version to the latest stable version.
3. Install an antivirus on your local computer/network.
4. Setup a spyware program.
5. Be careful with your passwords

I think that should keep you safe generally. Of course all the best practices are useless if yahoo's servers itself becomes exploited.

It's totally safe for chatting with the client from myside. Most of client want voice chat on Yahoo! messenger and its comfortable with me.

Why would you assume it's not safe to use? Unless somebody has a keylogger on your computer or something, I highly doubt anyone can get through Yahoo!'s security and grab your password from a database or anything. So realistically yeah, it's pretty safe

 

It is definitely safe as long as you don't transfer files on it coming from an unknown person.

 

Y not my dear frnd. It's absolutely free. Basically this kind of chat massenger are for personal use. Try to use this kind of thing in ur own personal PC rather than using these in cyber cafe or in office. It may create problem in that case.
Use it properly and use it in a right place. There is no fear to use it. U can carry on.

no not safe for your business because of lots of virus send automatic message to your yahoo msngr list(adult message)

download yahoo mssngr from verified source only. like yahoo.com
use a good Antivirus.
check yahoo login url before entering your password.
