There are people offering their service that your site will be included in dmoz list. Is it worth to pay for your listing? And does dmoz allow them to do this?

No. Offering payment to an editor is more likely to get the site and all other sites you are affiliated with banned.
    No.
Where are these people? Have you got examples for us? More likely they are scams where you will lose your money. The idea that there is a body of editors accepting payment for listing is an urban legend.

    My experience:
You will get a search engine results boost I have seen jumps from 2 to first page around 10 spots, guaranteed because the only change was DMOZ listing no more links changed. Traffic is almost null, could depend on categories.
Do I think will be worth to pay, no because most likely you will be caught and delisted.

Do not pay a cent for a DMOZ listing.

They aren't worth anything more than any old link.

Not only is DMOZ unimportant, but it's getting worse everyday. It's on life support, and though it might remain comatose for a long time, it's brain dead, and won't be doing much for you.

Now, just wait for neb to come back and announce that what you see in those sites is not what you think that you see and because he knows that there is no corruption in DMOZ, therefore you must be wrong independent of evidence and there is no abuse or corruption.

    no its not worth it.

becuase you can get in for free if you have a quality site

most people, like me, hate DMOZ becuase we think they never add sites while in reality they don;t add most of the sites subbmited because their not high quality, have info copied from other sites, or are MFA. If they added all links submiited they have 50x more links which would make it imposiible to navigate for visitors

I don't get mich traffic from my listing, so it not worth it, just submit it and forget and check every few weeks to see if link was added

Actually the question was came only to my mind when I saw those two links... I am not actually accusing dmoz or anyone else that there are corruption out there.

But in case there is charge to be listed in dmoz like yahoo, is it worth to pay for listing?

Send the $100 to the link in my signature. It will make you feel better and have exactly the same effect on your marketing as paying $100 to an editor to get the site listed, i.e. none. Editors who do take money for listings love people like you with more money than sense.

In my opinion $300 (or $100 etc.) would be better spent on paying somebody to write some good unique content for your websites, in my case I get almost 90% of my SE traffic from Google, 4% from Yahoo and 0,2% from DMOZ so only thing that counts is content.

Download DMOZ, set up a mirror, put AdSense on it. That's worth a lot more than getting listed in DMOZ.

I get in the high triple digits per day of unique IPs visiting the site.
