Don't do it. Despite what all the "experts" here tell you, article writing is a waste of time. I recently took over the SEO for a large company. The SEO firm they had before had been writing and submitting articles for 2 years. After 2 years the site still had PR0 and no rankings.

In the first 2 months of a year long roll out I built it to PR4 and many 1st page rankings using sensible link building methods.

Directories, link wheels and articles are just a massive waste of time.

It helps with SEO though, which is different to PR.

I mean, you need content to get noticed, and an easy way to do that is to write useful, informative articles with good keywords and correct resource box links.

If you are trying to build PR using article marketing then it is a waste, BTW i would like an answer for what is the use of PR to your clients, if it is increasing search engine rankings, then backlinks are required, there is no better way than article marketing, of course that is not the only one required, you need to diversify your link building methods, get links from a wide variety of places, including web 2.0 properties and many other places not necessarily link wheels, but decent link building, from content pages, resource pages, directories and wherever you can grab them from, forums and blogposts are also good methods of gaining backlinks

I disagree. After about 10-12 articles were published, one of my sites went up fro p2 to p1 for almost every keyword and, as more articles get published, I can see the less competitive keywords creep slowly upwards.

Firstly, you will need to work on your grammar and your spelling. You've only written 2 sentences and i can tell your grammar needs some work.

There are some free grammar, punctuation and spelling courses online

By "publishing about 10 articles" do you mean articles displayed at your site or at some pr-articles-sites? Thanks for answer!

You can write good articles if you follow few simple steps.

    • Do a little keyword research to begin with on the topic you want to write about.
    • Make sure you include the keyword in your title.
    • Make sure you use the keyword in your first paragraph once, maybe twice depending on how long the first para is.
    • After the first paragraph, use your primary keyword once in every 100 words or so.
    • Conclude with some kind of statement that will entice readers to learn more.

Run a spell/grammer check once the article is written and you are all done.

This is pretty much the whole process in a nutshell.

I make it a point to include my keyword around 3-4 times per article. Use it more often and you'll just trigger EZA's spam filter.

It sounds as if maybe English is not your first language. That could really be a problem if you are wanting to get traffic from your articles, because it means less people will republish them. If all you want is some backlinks it isn't as important.

Also, I don't know about page rank, but I am still getting traffic from articles I wrote two years ago on Ezine Articles.

    Good luck!

The problem I have with writing articles with my targeted keywords and posting them on PR sites or article directories is that they end up out-ranking you. The trick is not to use those keywords unless you're allowed to use them as anchor text for your backlinks.

Otherwise, write a clear, but generic article and link back to your site with your keywords.

to start writing good article do your search on the topic you want to write about and than write the article depicting what you actually understood of your research.
    Thanks
