Anyone else got the email alert after withdrawal (Indian Paypal Users) ??

I just got an email from Paypal when I mailed them for clarification regd my business transactions being reversed. My clients paid by service tab coz $12 was deducted for a $300 payment - Thats not personal, duh ? And they claim it was !???? And they very sweetly send me this email -

After doing my careful review on the transactions (xxxxxxxxxx and
xxxxxxxxxxxxx), I was able to see that the payment was reversed to
the buyer's account because the sender processed the payment as a
"Personal" payment instead of "Purchase".

We reversed this payment because we have stopped allowing personal
payments to be sent to or from India.

If this was a payment for a purchase of goods or services, and not a
personal payment, then you may contact the buyer and have him or her
resend the payment as follows: (a) click the Send Money tab, (b) select
"Goods," and (c) provide a shipping address.

If this payment was a personal payment such as a gift, then we have
requested that the sender find another payment method until we restore
personal payments to and from India.

We are trying to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and we're
sorry for any inconvenience.

i didn't get any email from paypal,
but their is delay in bank withdrawal.

 

Well I have no issue as I didn't make any withdrawal request yet and I have no payment reversed so far thanks that I always prefer to take payments by paying some fees to PayPal, I was just concern for all account holders who are facing problems!

looks like the money i withdrew on 26th of jan is in my bank account now, i have just taken a mini statement from the sbi atm and it says the money is in my account. tomorrow will do a passbook update to confirm it

Why not we give answer to PayPal on their own terms and condition?

Just simply open the case for PayPal automatic reversal as unauthorized account activity. It wouldn't help but it will make their work more difficult and they nuts will notice their mistakes.

 

I don't get this problem in paypal.. just before also i got a payment as "other services" without fee and also i can get the services / other option in sending tab, but yet i didn't sent anyone money. I thinks some problem in paypal with some of the accounts, I am also from India, but i don't see any problem with paypal.

 

guys are they reversing any transactions prior to 27/28 Jan?

As I provide services and don't sell goods, so NONE of my clients have my address, yet only 2 of teh charges got reversed .. ?? Can anybody please clarify this?

 

So far whole days observation I can say your payment will not be reversed since all payment reversal are reported as on Feb 1 2010 onwards.

Maybe Paypal have considered that some of member reports about Indian SCAM. As we know, if you bought a yearly link from Indian bloggers and they (always) remove it after 1 week or 1 month, and you pay through Personal Payment, you wont be able to make refund. You can't make a reconsideration about the personal transaction. It's just my opinion. Paypal is in a right track!

 

I can confirm one more with my friend who requested money on Feb 1 and he got credit today noon. So it looks money is coming now from PayPal.

 

I sent a payment as 'gift' to an Indian, it was just $1 and it got reversed. It was a gift, not for services... so that sucks. I can't pay the guy in any other way.

PayPal shouldn't have done this... they should have warned people and then just STOPPED the personal payments, not reversed them.
