Here is what I would like to add, paypal has reversed all transactions for which I had sent a 'Service invoice'. However they haven't reversed payments where buyer bought using a 'buy now' or a 'subscription link'. Anyone else observed this?

No money received for subscription has been reversed. I am sure this is just a huge bug on their side.

Thanks a lot for clearing the air! These changes surely appeared to be at the instance of RBI. I guess... we should now be getting our money... asap! :)

Yes you will and in this case your first account will goes to Negative balance and if you sent payment to your second account through Other/Service option, you money will reverse from Account 2 to 1 and then to buyers.

No information regarding this on their blog. .No policy update. Nothing... That's a rather underhanded way to deal with customers.

I am thankful I already use 2co (they are costly but atleast I have an option apart from paypal).

Yes! RBI had announced some changes during Dec on Money transfer policy and I guess they also request PayPal to clear things and make sure everything goes under rules! We might see withdrawal limit in future for single request!

They just want the fees. The personal payments feature was being abused. That's it. They will have this fixed in 4 days maximum.

Yes that's right but they have to inform sellers too on Reversal as it not a legal way to refund money without concern with account holders!

Well it will impact on their use too as PayPal earns quite good income from Indian Account holders and it also divert many webmasters to choose other payment option because of this!

Same issue with me got a email today

    Hello

Your payment of 2.08 has been sent back to the sender of the payment.

We reversed this payment because we have stopped allowing personal payments to be sent to or from India.

If this was a payment for a purchase of goods or services, and not a personal payment, then you may contact the buyer and have him or her resend the payment as follows: (a) click the Send Money tab, (b) select "Goods," and (c) provide a shipping address.

If this payment was a personal payment such as a gift, then we have requested that the sender find another payment method until we restore personal payments to and from India.

We are trying to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and we're sorry for any inconvenience.

    Thank you,
    PayPal

That's seems to legit as from policy, if we are doing it shouldn't be labeled as Gift/Other option so reason is right but way is wrong to do reversing money!

No I don't think so, one of my friend did request and he credit the money today so I don't think so that problems are connected with each other!

But many are saying even the payments from ad service agency like infolinks etc are being reversed
All agency use mass payment feature .. so even that cant be used for Indians ..?
Then what else can be used ??

Just the goods option ... If its true then it will be a good news for scammers ..they will just say they have not received any "goods" what kind of proof we can give then ..?
