Success with aStores?

Has anyone had much success with Astores?

I promoted a few (both as part of a busy larger site and some stand alone aStores)- without seeing much in the way of actual sales.

Somebody must you would think right? I mean they dumped some money into setting them up and they are still around.

Amazon must be having success with them or they wouldn't do it. So therefore there must be people making money with them.

So how does this affect what you can do?

If they are not working for you then you need to look not so much at the store but at your methods.

Marketing is NOT about throwing up sites and linking, it's about satisfying the needs and wants of a market.

You must find a niche and market it like you would with any other sites. aStores makes it a little tougher due to the fact that it is not index-able by search engines - that means you store is basically a one page site with an iFrame.

If you want success I suggest trying out AOM or ReviewAZON or some other commercial scripts available in the market. Then after setting up an index-able site move on to your marketing plan.

You are right. In fact I see quite a number of them myself on Google 1st page, 1st result. It's just that Amazon no longer pay us referral fees for traffic coming in directly from search engines so those high ranked aStores residing on Amazon domain are pretty much useless to us affiliates.

I'd assume the pages may get indexed. I'm not sure about content. But then I am also not conversant with this. Amazon I have on sites, but I haven't tried aStores yet.
I should add that I only became active with amazon recently.

Are they paying commissions on direct referrals after an initial search engine visit? Just wondering if you capture the visitor and get them to return if you'll get paid, my aStores rank.

    Best,

Why wouldn't they pay commissions because it was straight from a search engine, this makes no sense. Where did you get this information from?

They don't pay for sales generated by amazon.com pages ranking in the seach engines with an affiliate ID included. Not really sure how this is handled for aStores, but I think they still generate commissions for organic searchengine traffic.
