IS twitter, digg and facebook is helpful for generate site traffic-help

Hi,
I don't know the use of twitter, digg and facebook and I never used these yet.Now I want to join facebook, digg and twitter so please tell me than these can be useful for generate site traffic and getting back link for my site.

From facebook you can get good traffic. and also you will get a backlink from it. create your groups in facebook. Make a big network. after that you can easily get traffic from it. I got a lot of traffic from facebook and twitter also.

 

All 3 are great for generating traffic including more like reddit, my space etc

Till now i was thinking that Twitter does not drive traffic but many of these Social networking sites are helpful, since they drive traffic and more over you get back links too which are worth!!!

 

Well if you done it well using those social networking sites and even those social bookmarking sites aside from digg, you can gain a lot of visitors that may come to your site. One of the best thing to do is to have a regular update in your site itself then post your update on those social networking sites so that other users will see it and if they find that your update is interesting, they will visit it of course. Facebook and twitter can really give your site a lot of traffic.

Of all of these, I'm not sure about Digg. Unless you can get a bunch of user to be interested in your content with a catchy headline, I don't think using it will be effective. I was a Digg user myself until the content started to become boring. Then started to use reddit. At least on reddit, you can make your own "subreddit" and post topics relating to your site there..

 

Facebook and Twitter most certainly have the ability to create a vast amount of traffic for your website. From my personal experience I have found that Twitter seems to generate the most hits to your website but more for a curiousity purpose, rather than converting.

Then Facebook Business Pages tends to work better if you pay for one of their advertising campaigns, which I have also found worked extremely well and created lots of traffic. You always have the helpful tools 'insights' to monitor your hits and feedback.

Hi,

The facebook and twitters are the realtime traffic generator. Where as digg will gives traffic boosting opportunity. It depends on you how to utilize all the three that gives optimum output of traffic to the websites.
