Remind me, please, how Google will take that if I make internal links in the form of pics. Is this method SEO friendly? Well, you know sometimes pics look much better than just simple text links...

yes sure, pictures can be helpful too, but just make sure you have an alt tag for all your pics, those can act as your anchor text when google crawls your site. And this also helps if you check your search in google by Images option and not the Web. Good question, thou....

I agree with avadhootd, but make sure you only use pictures you have permissions to use. People take copyright infringement lightly, but you could get screwed big time for it.

Well, if you have the bandwidth to burn, Images is another place to get traffic from.
I have often found sites by looking for pictures I like.
I highly doubt I am the only one who does.

I search on images a lot so images are a good way to get traffic. Make sure you use the 'alt' tag cos Google uses it for keywords. 'Alt' is useful for accessability for people with visual difficulties that use page readers. Also remember if you can use photoshop well it's easy to create your own images for menu's etc.

If your goal is to rank for your targeted keywords then text link might help. But if you think your images is more attractive to your potential client then images might be a good choice.
