A buyer did a dispute on my sale. Will I get my money back?

Some a**hole took back his cash using 3 words. He escalated it to a claim and then "refund" "i want refund".

I emailed PayPal with my entire chat transcripts, emails from Godaddy and my host.

Is there anyway I'll get my money back?

Yes, I did the "tracking number" thing with the information that the item was an intangible item and that it was a digital.

I doubt you will get the money back if they don't have money in their account, because its a digital product. What did you sell?

Digital goods are not eligible for PayPal disputes. They will hold the money until a real person looks at it the dispute then they will find in your favor (assuming you have done everything right and above board.)

This has happened to me at least 10 times with people trying to get something for free.

To add to this, I have been the victim of a company that defrauded me on digital goods.

I purchased WOW gold online and they never sent it to me. I opened a dispute and the response I got (7 days later) was "Intangible items/Digital Delivery Goods are not eligible for dispute resolution. We have found in favor of the seller.)

You are fine, just wait it out and be professional in your responses in the resolution centre.

In 99% cases money goes in the favor of buyer, if it is a digital item !!! (Personal experience)

    So forget about it.

Oh God save us from reversed a**holes.

Since you have already supplied Paypal with deal transcripts, I am sure your case would look more genuine to them and the claim would be settled in your favor.
Paypal has been aware of the chargeback mis-use especially with digital goods and so are now looking at supplied evidences with more open mind! :)

Well as you are dealing in digital goods which does not comes under PayPal's seller protection act and hence likely you will loose this case. Try to call them up and see what they have to say about it, that will be more quick and accurate.

    Thanks

To be on safer side always make a customized button for the buyer to initiate the transfer through paypal. So that he don't have a choice of shipping address. I don't know how the payment done at your side? As other told you payments for the digital items don't come under refunds. Best of LUck!!

How the client paid you?? Do a counter attack and tell paypal since its a digital item so the payment under digital delivery don't come under refunds. Do you have any terms of services on your website? Also attach documents to expedite your claim.

I think the buyer is very clever. He must have paid you through the send money tab on his paypal a/c and also provided shipping address with the payment. In that case chances of getting back the money is somewhat difficult. As he can also dispute the payment through his credit card company. If he used the credit card funds?

He's a crafty one! What he did was he sent me payment for "goods" so he disputed with the fact that he hasn't received the item.

A member on CPAlead.com advised me to send him a pencil or something and then submit the tracking code for that :D
