i don't know. but i think that may be their bulk registration page is buggy and say that some registered domains are free or they are really stealing the searched good domains. as i search for domains in the bulk it is free then i try to register it they say that it is already taken...
i noticed that this happen mainly with the recently expired and extremely good domains... i don't know

they used to this before :D but after some PR stuffs they stopped. its not a big news because GD , networksolutions etc registrars were/are doing that ;)

All the big companies register the good ones before they're all taken. I was registering couple of domains with flu.mx and I was charged. Then in few mins I got an e-mail saying my money was credited because the domain wasn't available.
It's registered with GoDaddy also. Was registered on the same day.
    http://whois.domaintools.com/flu.mx
It could be GoDaddy or another customer since it was a good domain.

That's true and counting since there are several other big registrars hijacking domain searches.

Search with central registry first. If you know the domain that is worth buying for making a profit, immediately register it without waiting.

I don't believe that. If this is true and someone has proof, nobody will trust Godaddy anymore

True, I used to search from this or www.whois.com then go to register my domains without hassle.

Actually using a nice freeware to query faster, LanWhois

Well, what's worse is when they used to do this and THEN put the domain up as a premium domain for thousands of dollars. That's the ultimate scumbag tactic.

Many companies are known to do such front running but if you show promptness in registering immediately, I guess you do not give them the leeway!

With good names, it can also be just coincidental that a person from somewhere around the world would have registered while you were searching and contemplating registering.
After all, there would be many people doing the registration just like you... simultaneously! :)

    Regards,
