The SEO and the programmer

I had a meeting with the owner of a B&M business today aswell as their resident IT. This IT programmer guy was going on about his knowledge of web hosting and page code. The first thing I said to the owner was "What would you like to see your website become?" He went on to describe some keyphrases he was struggling to get good rankings for and I began to explain how anchortext backlinks can help alot. The IT guy kept butting in and trying to finish my sentences. So I Threw threw the layman terms out the window and went on a short rant about latent semantic indexing and a few other key factors in Googles algorythm. I looked over at the IT guy and the look on his slack jawed face was priceless. Then I spoke directly to the business owner about his short term achievable goals.

All in all, a great meeting.:)

Ah yes the IT Programmer was being a jerk and likely felt threatened by you encroaching on his perceived turf. I get it. My bad for coming of as a jerk, but as a programmer I felt as if you were taking a knock at my profession. I'm not going to get in a flame war as I'm sure you know much more about SEO than myself, but what was the point of this post or did I sum it up?

Good job he didn't explain to you and the client that Google doesn't use Latent Semantic Indexing then, or you would have looked like a bit of a tit.

It takes a big man to admit his weakneses. Rep to you.:)

For once there is no point to my thread. The first time in history. I think I deserve a few random posts.

HAHAHAH. I know the latest latent semantic inexing factor implemented by Google's latest algorythm. Please enlighten me.
    Pretty please!!!!
