How do I contact my affiliates on CB?

I have many different affiliates and I would love to be able to communicate with them, and learn how I can help them more. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

learn the power of psychic thoughts!

Either that or you can backtrack through the sites referring to you and find contact information.

Unless clickbank has changed recently they dont have anything that makes communication between the vendor and affiliate easy

Or put a vendor opt-in on your affiliates page. So they can enroll only if they want to hear from you:)

Your best bet is to put up an affiliate page, Doc, and announce it in your listing(s) in the Clickbank Marketplace, and say on that page that you want to communicate with affiliates and may be able to help them. You can give an email address or even an opt-in box, too (but if you do that, don't have a link to the affiliate page(s) visible on the sales page(s) or some potential affiliates will classify it as a "leaky sales page" and move on to look at another product). But bear in mind that affiliate anonymity is one of the features offered by Clickbank's system, and there isn't a way of compelling any affiliate to contact you. And (without removing your product(s) from the "marketplace listings") there isn't a way to prevent anyone from becoming an affiliate "anonymously", either (not that you'd want to, probably).

i once heard that you can contact clickbank to request contact with a certain affiliate. when clickbank contacts them and the affiliate is open to the idea of having their details passed to you, then you should be able to get their contact.

prob want to use this (if it works) only for super affiliates though :p

Thank you Alexa, I only want to help my current affiliates sell better. I do not want to invade their privacy. I know my products very well and I'm sure I could provide a different angle that they have not thought of yet. I currently do have an affiliate link on my landing/pitch page. Are you saying that if I have an optin box on my affiliate page with a link from the pitch page that they will not want to be my affiliate? confused. Thanks.

It depends what the product is, Doc. It matters more in some niches than in others, arguably. But if there's a way for a potential customer to be put in touch directly with the vendor by email (eg. a link showing to an "affiliate page" on the sales page, and the "affiliate page" then gives the vendor's email address), that is, strictly speaking, a "leaky sales page" and some affiliates will pass it by for that reason. I suspect not many, but unfortunately they may be exactly the type of affiliates you do actually want to attract, the select few professional affiliates who will only promote a product with a specific plan to be able to make at least several hundred sales. It won't matter at all to a far larger number of affiliates (but they may not bring in nearly so many sales). Just something to be aware of, if it matters to you to have a sales page that isn't ever going to put off any potential affiliates. (Speaking for myself, as a potential affiliate, I wouldn't entirely exclude a product just because of that, but it wouldn't exactly endear, either).

Alexa, Thank you so much. I now no longer have a leaky sales or affiliates page. No email links back to me from either page. It's a little weird for me, but I'll get used to it. I've had it that way for 5 years.

Also make sure that when you put the opt in box for affiliates you offer a no opt in option or you could be losing affiliates.

Some affiliates do not want to give their details.

Thank you, Chris. I get that affiliates want to remain anonymous. right now there is no opt-in nor is there my email address. I could put a box for them to send me emails but as Alexa said that would create a "leaky sales page."

I just want to help them sell my program. I know my product very well and I'm sure I could help them sell more of them. That's it.

Use an opt-in on your affiliates page, and send them periodic emails/updates.

    Only a few, I think.

Not necessarily - only if your affiliates-page is visible/accessible from your sales page. If it isn't, I don't think you have a problem there at all. I don't think any affiliates will object to you having an affiliates' opt-in, even the ones who don't want to use it themselves. It's only having your contact details visible/accessible from the sales page that will understandably put some off.

I currently have the affiliates link at the bottom of the sales page. I guess I am unclear as to how they would access it if it was not there. Can you explain? I no longer have my email address on sales or affiliate page.

    Through your CB Marketplace listing.

But let me say again: I don't think there are many affiliates who'd be put off promoting something just because the sales-page includes a link to the affiliate-page (especially if your email address isn't even showing!). In some niches ("internet marketing advice" and "make money online") that could really matter enormously, but I'm guessing from your "ND" that we're dealing with something naturopathic here, in which case it can hardly be the end of the world? It's not like the potential clients are going to be internet marketers themselves, I imagine?

    This is no complicated matter.

Put an opt in on the affiliate page, also put a link with which the affiliate could proceed to the affiliate material without opting in. Noone would mind if you do this.

Yes, you are correct that we are dealing with something naturopathic here. How very astute of you. A treatment plan that I designed. No sales instruction here at all. I am still trying to learn, which is why I am on this board. Currently, I have an affiliate link at the very bottom of the sales page. I also updated my vendor spotlight with the affiliate link there. CB has changed since I first launched my program in 2005. I had no idea there were so many new things to use, such as ads. Then on the affiliate page I only give instructions on how to create a link. No email address anywhere now. Since affiliates want to remain anonymous, what if I included articles I am writing that contain helpful information to promote the product? This is the real reason for me wanting to contact them anyway, to give them information to help them make sales.
