New to sell own product?

What do I need while setup a website selling product online? Please advise or comments if you have any idea.

I knew a few of them:
1) Official website
2) Payment Gateway

Anything that still missing from the list? Please help. Thanks

 

yeah the most important of all what products and where you gonna get the products from are missing.

 

Let see:
- what you want to sell
- where did you get your products
- how you ship the products
- who you want to sell to
- where your target market is
- how large is your target market
- how will you do the marketing

the websites and technical aspect are the easiest part...

 

There is a large process when it comes to selling your own product. As well as the things listed above, you really need to put a lot of thought into what marketing strategy you will use. you need to calculate all expenditures and how you are going to cover them and most importantly once you choose your products you need to research your competitors Good luck with your endeavor!

 

doing seo on your site, link building, getting targeted traffic to your site once it is complete, posting on targeted forums and much more

 

Don't forget where you will store your products: warehouse space?

 

This is a good list, but I would condense it to:

1. Find demand/low supply...what are people DYING to have but can't find?
2. Provide the supply
3. Tell them about it

No need for fancy websites etc...as long as it meets their demand, they'll be happy. Product improvement and what not is secondary. Make sales first and improve based on customer feedback.
