    Hello,

Im new here and love all the information. I have been buying some 3d names for the past couple of weeks. Lets hope they take off.
I just bought some today that I was scratching my head wondering why they were still available. Let me know what you think of these.

It will be interesting to see if people start referring them as "3D HDTVs" or just "3D TVs". I don't think we'll know until we start seeing the TV commercials for them.

When you search 3d and tv a lot of the articles say 3d HD. I guess we wont know until they are marketed but I guess for my sake I'm hoping its 3dhd.

It's worth holding on to for at least a year...if it doesnt work out, you could always sell them all as one package on ebay or something.

    Markn26 ... Rian ...
    .. your opinions, please

    ... (seriously)

    - - - - -- - - - -

i guess the way you look at it is this ...
... i would have to guess that most of the realistic 3d names that have come across this board during this thread would probably be able to get somewhere in the area of $15 - $20 on ebay today - with no 3d market at all ... in most cases, i would have to estimate more.

now, if you're dropping $7.67 for each domain name, and you're able to double your money (and more often than not, more than double your money), how can this be a bad thing? I just dropped $30 on those 4 names... i honestly think they would sale for NO LESS than $20 a each over the weekend... that's not a coop of money, no .. but it's not a loser.

I have much bigger aspirations for what i have recently accumulated, but to me - that would be a 'worst case scenario' - "nothing more than doubling my money"

... i mean, hey .. how do u realistically ask for more than that in LIFE?... in anything we do?

... this is just one man's opinion.
    enjoy

I doubt that. I don't think any domain with extensions other than .com would fetch that much (unless you have got something like 3DMovies/3DPictures .net/info/org/tv)
It's bit difficult to judge what's the future of these 3D domain names. Let's wait for 4-5 months and see how they transpire.

    i don't necessarily disagree with you ...
... i just assumed we were pretty much talking about .com's

but i still think if i wanted to simply double my money on that last $30 i spent, i could easily do so - mostly because $20 is not a ton of money ... even casual people would consider that name for $20

Definitely a good effort...this is yet another case where we will not know if such cameras will be SLR + 3D, but if they are, you've just scored some good names. From what I saw, the 3D camera concepts are dual-lens (kind of like looking through one of those quarter machine binoculars in a tourist area).

As for selling 3D domains on ebay right now - why bother? Your domain registration lasts one full year. Wait until at least a couple months before it expires and then decide to sell or keep them. We won't know anything about 3D entertainment, keywords, hype or anything else until May-June-July from all of the press releases talking about when it's all coming out.

I have found a 3D + 2 keywords domain name with 5,000,000+ search results. Pity that I don't have enough funds to register it. If anybody is interested, PM me.(I will charge $10 for telling you the name;))

is it better to have 3d in front of the keywords or after. Eg 3dname.com or name3d.com?

Have caught a couple over the last week, nothing great but they may have a chance in a year or two.

    projectors3d.com
    monitor3d.com
    3dvenue.com

And just now I picked up one with a hyphen to replace the one with a hyphen I let drop. I like my new one better.

    3d-screens.com

    Cheers

For keywords, it doesn't matter. For branding it does.

It also depends on the "name"...
    watching3D is better than 3Dwatching
    3Dmovies is better that movies3D.

But search engines don't care that much.

    Cheers

lol.. Actually, that's why I am a bit skeptical about the whole 3D thing. Too many people complain about headaches and other annoyances.

    Time will tell.
