This is interesting, so a link from high PR pages are more valuable than the one from low PR pages.

Is this just an example or you got the number from somewhere?

Don't tell me you didn't know that :)

Only Google knows the exact numbers. Though as I told earlier, it is being experimentally shown that a PageRank evolves on the logarithmic scale with the base of 6. That is, a single PR4 link is worth six PR3 links if all other conditions are equal.

why are you aiming for a specific page rank? I would suggest looking at competitors keywords, and just beat their linking campaign.

This numbers are aproximations based on ten years experience, tests and observation.

They assume that the page your link is placed on does not have more than 10 outbound links to other domains.

It also happen to one of my blog when one of my blog where never been updated about 9-10 months but still it has a PR2 value. when i check the backlinks its just only have around 100 backlinks. But in one of my blog where i focused more and gather more backlinks and update it regularly but still the PR value is 2. Very confusing isn't it.

This isn't really quantifiable, just try to build quality backlinks and you pr will go to 3 sooner or later.

It's the quality of backlinks that we are referring here. Basically these are determined by quite a number of factors such as relevancy, pr, traffic,

Page rank depends on content. if you have original content than you get good traffic on that page than your Page rank will improve

Wow, thats some interesting info. .
I never really worry about getting a higher rank sooner, but try to write more wuality content and add products with nice descriptions. My jewelry site(www.lustrejewel.com) is already PR 2 . You may have a look at the way i write a good description with every product.
