Bug duplicate thread infraction for auctions?

So I sold 200K lot of traffic with this auction http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1666892 (finished this weekend), then I started another auction for 100K using new auction thread. Yet somebody (or system) have cancelled that thread today (deleting all the bids people made) and added my 100K auction post to the bottom of the finished 200K thread.

So how is it supposed to work?!

It looks like you're offering the same service, just different quantities. To us, that would be a duplicate thread. New offers have to be for distinctly different products or services, not the same offer with a different price or quantity.

There is not currently a mechanism to restart an old auction.

Well, I too have the same kind of question. Is there any way we can start the same kind of service or sell the same product again?

how can one sell a single item to multiple buyers in a single auction?

if one is selling something like signature space or advertising space on a site, it will have to be auctioned repeatedly after certain time intervals.

Simple - don't use the auction bidding system option if you want to sell the same thing to multiple buyers. Go old school.

Because we're not robots. We do not see every thread. We see the ones we happen to stumble upon while we're browsing the forum. We see ones that are reported when we get to the reports. And we sometimes see them if we're checking a specific member's past threads (like if they were already caught posting duplicates and we check to make sure there aren't any more). If you find others, use the report post button rather than posting in threads about them. Just because other members are doing something, it doesn't mean you're allowed to. Follow the rules; not the behavior of others.

If something is new it's new bottom line.

If I sell my car for 2k today and then sell another one that's the same for 2k tomorrow it's a different transaction.
    Therefor making it new.

No. According to ToS of DP you are not allowed to sell your car (even if it is a different car ..LoL...) more than once in your life time.
