Alright, this thread does involve a listing on Google. Though I'm referencing the company more than the listing... Let Me Start From The Top 1. I'm a genius and I had a genius idea like geniuses have. You see regular people just have idea's geniuses have geniuses ideas. 2. Then I though I'm slick and I'm going to find an awesome niche which pretty much was the search term "Sorry" for the board game. 3. Anyways I did a search and then I see the first result.... 4. WHICH WAS THE BIGGEST ...... SEARCH ENGINE SPAM I'VE EVER SEEN WITH A PAGERANK OF 5??? WTF IS THIS ....: http://www.poemhunter.com/poems/sorry/ 5. Anyone Agree? Sorry Moderators.
There's like 26 pages of poems (150+ poems) about being 'sorry'. Probably why it's ranked at the top with pr5.
It's a huge website. They have PR6 main page. Every page they will make will sooner or later get a high pagerank and then get indexed. Thus, rank high in Google search with just some SEO. If you want same luck then work hard on SEO. Get your main website have a high PR. All the best. They are not there just by LUCK but by hard work. But i agree the poem is not that good Kind regards, Yogesh
ARE YOU KIDDING? This isnt SEO and it's not about anything you just said... The poem goes "Sorry, Sorry" 150 times... Its called spamming... Google didn't pick up on this as being spamming? I though googles algorithim detects same word keywords next to each other.
You guys didn't even go to the website theirs no way... It's not that good of a poem lol? Thats a joke it isnt even a poem.
Google probably marked it as an authority website and that probably gave that site some leverage, but this is wrong -
Uhm, if you were trying to diss me try spelling correctly... Both Genius and Egregious were spelled wrong.
its too bad they put the "all-sorry" poem on the first page. It makes it look ESPECIALLY spammy. But there are some legitimate poems later on. There's probably not a lot of competition for the word "Sorry" so its easier to get to the top. No doubt that's what you were hoping for in your own scheme.
I think that search engine algorithms are more sophisticated than most people realize. The fact that this is a legitimate poem to some people I think carries some weight in ranking it where it does. Also the fact that other poems on other pages are actual poems in a more traditional sense. Just my two cents I guess...
