You are making things complicated.... Let's discuss one by one: Blogger vs self-hosted wordpress blog Control: Blogger - mostly controlled by google Wordpress - full control by owner Advantage: wordpress Security: Blogger - files are fully secured by Google Wordpress - files are secured by your hosting company Advantage: I think Google has more security Value: Blogger - you cannot sell blogger blogs. It's against google TOS Wordpress - you can sell your domain plud website Advantage: wordpress SEO domainkeyword.blogspot.com domainkeyword.com (or any other extension) - I think this is easy to promote Conclusion: I think own domain is better and you can target good keywords..
Like what Titing have mention, having a self hosted domain is better since it has $$ value. Domain names are like real estates and I would prefer owning my own site rather than a subdomain site. In terms of SEO, I doubt there is much different. But in terms of control, blogger account can be closed anytime if you violate any of their TOS which isn't good if you already have done tons of linkbuilding. Conclusion: Spent the extra 8 bucks for a TLD domain. If you are tight on budget, then get the .info domain. But, I personally prefer TLD domain.
Well, how can you manage to update these vast sites? and if you dont, your PR value will decrease, any tricks here?
You can transfer a Blogspot blog to a new domain in about 10 mins, then you have complete ownership, which also means that you are free to sell it at any given time if you should wish to. The free server is a bonus and has been 100% reliable for me for the past few years anyway. With free Wordpress blogs you can't even throw ads on the blog... and you call Google the controlling one lol.
@gjivan running hundreds of websites by yourself is easy if you have all the tools do it it... It's not all about PR anymore.. It's all about tins of content. More content with long tailed keywords means more search engine visibility... @Ryan6 Yes, you can transfer blogger to a self-hosted blog but what about your effor in promotion? Can you 301 redirect your blogger to wordpress? Of course not...
1. ...how much these 56 websites get you per month? ....with aproximation ....4 figures ....+2k ....+3k ? 2. ...you let got of the websites from which you don`t earn as you expected ?
The lowest earning site so fat is $12/month so I think I don't need to let it go... I have a big hosting acocunt server and maintaining it on my server is not a problem...
I believe in this kind of system you can do them both, continuing building other websites and linking them to the already built - promoted ones. Also, having so many websites in your own hands (administrative power) givers you the chance to successfully implement 3-way link exchange or a parallel link exchange.
3-way link is a good idea but has a lot of limitations.. google might label it as linkfarm.. do a linkwheel instead..
minimum of how many posts i want to post? can u give me some link to get wordpress templates as you applied? promotions means back links?
I have a very good opportunity to all of my friends who ran websites as soon as I release my first real product... Especially Pinoys..
I`ve red somewhere, I don`t remember where exactly that you`ve said ....one article submitted up to 5 different article directories. Can you explain why pls ?
