I think the best way is to make your Blog Dofollow!!! And if your Blog has good Content, visitors will be sticking to your blog!!! Regards
Pr is not vital for getting more traffic, however has a considerable coefficient in every search engine's algorytm.
sumbit ur url into directories, post some unique content without links, exchange the links, alexa ratings...
Find out more long tails keywords and write one or two keyword optimized article(s). Publish them in your site, do proper on page SEO and build few high PR backlinks for those articles with the targeted keyword in the anchor text. Since your site is already indexed you will get your articles indexed quickly and you can get more traffic in to your site.
You may do three-way links with webmasters who have high traffic site related to your niche. Don't expect boost in search engine traffice solely on basis of high PR.
Am I asking how to increase my PR? Nope. I need traffic. Tons of it. Yes, I know that. And it was said a couple of times earlier in this thread. Who said I have a blog? It is a commercial Joomla templates website. No more useless comments here, plz. Sounds good. But what can I write about Joomla templates? I'm stucked with this... Tutorials? There're too many of them all over the Internet. The main problem is that webmaster who have websites related to my niche either idiots or competitors... I used to email webmasters but they don't understand the benefits of a PR 5 site link. And sometimes they're too busy to reply. It pisses me off. And, no - I didn't expect any boosts in serp with the help of PR 5. I wish I could exchange my PR 5 to 5000 visitors per day >.<
Post daily informations, high quality text and promote the website on big websites. Maybe exchanging links is a great idea!
There are no great benefits of a PR5 unless you're in link selling business, which you've mentioned you're not into. If these so-called idiots have quality traffic more than you do and are not willing to part it for a PR5 link, then I won't call them idiot in first place. And if they are really idiot and their sites suck, then I don't think you really need a link from them. Maybe you should re-consider whatever you're offering. Try throwing in a link/blog on some other site, if you run any. You might find some people interested in it. You've mentioned you run Joomla template site, why not run a blog on it and use it to your advantage. You may spread a word about a few quality sites of your competitors hoping they will do the same. You can at least try this for a few as test. Or do three-way linking. People won't mind linking to a related clean site having PR 5. See, there are a lot of ways/approaches to improve traffic. But if you want to improve traffic by using your PR5 only then I don't think there is much to say. Just keep doing the good work
As for the first part of my post - probably, I was too rude calling some webmasters idiots. But how would a link to my site harm their traffic? Maybe I'm misunderstanding some principles... About starting a blog - will it really help me somehow? First of all I should promote it - and it is a lot of work, isn't it? Or it should be a content storage blog? If so, it makes some sense. But, again, isn't it easier just to add some pages with content related to my niche? I was told that PR 5 is like a cool toy which will make all neighbour kids want to play with me. I never thought that I will just sit on my seat and people will go to my website in great numbers because of high PR of my site. Common Internet users doesn't even see that half filled green PageRank bar on my website. I only hope that it will help me build good links but tt doesn't yet. But, maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Thank you for your reply, lots of foods for thoughts. I really appreciate that.
Visitors will go to your site if they click the link, and not to some internal page. A webmaster can have an internal page on same topic so as to retain the user on his site. Benefits of this to a webmaster are obvious. That being said, it's advisable to link to some high quality sites. All I wanted to convey was to have a section on the site to add content. I guess I used the term blog wrongly Not all, but many will want to play. Like I said before, there are a number of ways to improve traffic. And PR 5 will surely play a role, not major one though =] Good luck man
Thank you very much. Very helpful. Take care, man Are all of your 1.5k+ posts as useles as those in this thread? Follow mixke's example. No offence.
I understand that high PR have nothing to do with number of traffic you'll have, but your high traffic may cause your page to have higher PR?
Probably, yes. But it will only work if high traffic will make people link to your site. If people just visit your site and doesn't like your content or like it not much enough to share a link about your site, no changes in PR will be noticed, I guess.
