when google first came on the scene people were making good money from it, and the click rate was really high. I was never into blogging before but my friend was a blogger and he used google adsense when it first came out and for 3 years he told me he was getting paid 300-400 dollars a day with his blog. But people have been blinded and are used to google adsense and ads in general and more low level businesses are on adsense now, a lot of start ups who only have a few cents to give per click. Last year he stopped using adsense because he got sponsors ads, but he told me he stopped because he was only making 5-10 dollars a day and the clicks died down drastically even though the traffic remained steady.
