Microsoft criticized the iPad for being a locked-down device http://www.nadzrul.com/apple/microsoft-laughs-ipad Nintendo wasn't impressed with it; Nokia was furious when Steve Ballmer said that Apple was the biggest mobile company. What do you think?
The photo of him is hilarious. ( you know what I'm talking about); Also, Microsoft hasn't released anything that can compete with the iPad as of right now. Not too sure how the Surface is going to be considering it's gonna cost somewhere in the upper thousands of dollars. Also, I left a comment on your blog. So, if you could, please approve ? Yugo,
apple should be laughing to ms in that case as linux did when they discover bill gates' site were in linux server.
it's just an oversized iphone... idk see the fuss over it.. the damn keyboard takes up half the 10inch screen glanced at the article quick and found a typo Should be I beg TO differ... Just thought I'd help you out
Microsoft already has the Courier tablet pc, which it just announced some times ago. The iPad is just a bigger iPhone, even it doesnt have built in USB connection so you cant transfer files to and from it, without paying Apple extra for an adapter.
I just saw I-pad yesterday i guess, and after seeing it was really great. But there were few more lines written about it in the newspaper. The worst thing is that you can only work on one application at a time and the resolution power was less than expected. Right laugh at such discoveries
The publicity for the Ipad is crazy for such a mediocre tech device. We have had these for years http://www.archos.com/ Now running Linux, Win7 and Android. I guess the target market fits though.
I have seen that iPad on yahoo groups. I thought it was misspelled but it was really a brand name. LOL
I have seen that Ipad on net. But It seems like the old Iphone but a bigger size. The data transfer is a vital and important feature of any digital device. If its not there in Ipad, Its pathetic.
100% right here. iPad is nothing more then a big iPhone (big ol iPod touch), even has the same OS style - 3+ year old 'technology'. It's a bad joke for $500 usd and in most non-us countries it's going to go for over $1k easy - total rip off just like mac computers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI99t9k4aEE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx449r1vhos
Since you can't take photos and make calls on iPad, I consider it as an oversize iPod that was loaded with e-reader technology. Nothing more to it really, but I must give credit to Apple's marketing team for the successful launch of its crappy device. iPad will always reminded us of how Apple failed in their haste to overshadow Amazon's Kindle.
In honesty, to me, it's just a big iPhone without the camera and calling capabilities. I mean at the end of the day, I can buy a netbook that'd do all of that, but would be more useful as I could plug in my peripherals etc. At the end of the day, when I start to hit a screen of that size, for the use it's designed for, I'd want some form of hardware keyboard, and I'd want it to offer more than the iPod Touch does. I can see why Microsoft laughs at it, since it's not really going to change anything computing wise, it's just squashing technology into small spaces and thinkning it will meet peoples needs.
