Hello, My friend sent me maillist with more than 500,000 people emails. Google will ban me if i will send an email with my website discription and address, like some advertise on email, i will get banned if i will send it to 500,000 people today? In this email i will add information about my website and there will be my website link. I will get banned or punished?
google has no way to tell how many emails you are sending out to whom. you can use an email client or a mass mailer to send out as many emails as you want and google has nothing to do with it. if you spam however, people who get those emails will report abuse and your ISP might give you trouble or suspend your account
It means if i will send these emails, then i will not get punished or something like that from Search Engines, yes?
500.000 of unsolicted e-mails... let me think... Are you a spammer? Google won't ban you for this, it won't know. But Google will be the least of your problems then. If you're doing a kind of fair business - don't mess up with a spam. Use double opt-in newsletters instead.
I'm not a spammer, but my friend sent me that list, there are a lot of email addresses. I would like to know if i will send a mass email about my website (400 words) then i'll get more sales and etc.
1. Have the owners of those e-mails explicitly agreed to receive your advertising? 2. Do the owners of those e-mails know their e-mails were transferred (by your friend) to a third party (that is - to you)? 3. Are you 100% sure these e-mails were collected using double opt-in method, rather than simply parsing websites? In other words, are you sure the owners of these e-mails know that their e-mails are in some kind of mailing list? If you answered Yes on all 3 questions, then yes, you can send mass e-mail. Though even in that case it won't necessarily increase your sales. If you answered No at least on one question - sending the mass e-mail would be unethical and in that case you would be a silly spammer. I hope so.
you can use those mail list for non spam manner. people like to forward cool or funny emails. so create couple of that kind mails and put your link at the end(by saying see more.. etc). i also have a big mail list but i don't have a good software. if you know free one, pls let me know
The same story happened to one of my friend who was running a e-commerce website where he was selling some discount products. I just forgot the name of it but they were banned from Google due to spamming emails. Not they were spamming but they were trying to promote their website by email marketing. I don't know the exact amount of emails they were sending daily but after certain days of time they were banned in Google and he even accepted this fact. One more thing - G can detect everything. They know what you are sending in email and where the traffic is mainly coming from. Google do not disclose anything but its always good to go positive side without experimenting much.
These emails he have from his torrent tracker, but i will not use these emails, because i don't want to be spammer and also i don't want to get banned or something like that!
Does your list have my email id in it? If yes, please DELETE it rightaway . I am sick and tired of seeing Viagra Ads in my Email
Dear Mardo, Untill you are not a spammer its ok to mail as google has nothing to do with how many e mails you are sending and to whom. But if your mails are reported spam it would be a problem to you. so avoid to get your self into spam Category if yo are doing genuine business. Regards
I'm only working with legal methods, but i asked my question because my friend gave me these email addresses, I promise that i will not use them!
Well there is slight chance that google will ban you, but they don't care about email spam, rather they look for spamy web sites.
I bet you there's couple 100 or 1,000 webmasters in the list of 500,000 e-mails who will report you for spamming their e-mails. I have reported websites that sent me e-mail when I clearly didn't visit their sites at all.
getting email address isn't hard. there are lot of mailing lists out there or you can even create one. but if the email owners didn't sign up to get newsletters or any form of communication from YOU specifically, then that would be spamming their inbox. they will have to know you or your company or your site and would have to expect such email from you. they have to give you express permission to send them email newsletters otherwise it would be spam. google is the least you should worry about. there are lot of monitoring agencies outt here that can give you trouble. your ISP as i said earlier will ban you if they get complaint from the people you are sending unsolicited email. FCC, FTC and other federal agencies out there that regulate these sort of email spams and depending of severity of the spam, they go after those people and put them behind bars http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/canspam.html
Same here.. I don't know what it is, but one day I got around 10 of the same type of e-mail from 10 different addresses I wonder how my e-mail got on these spammers lists...
