    If there is a link to a file on Rapidshare, Google will find it. A "keyword site:rapidshare.com" will also have a good chance of finding it.
    But there are some tweaks that can be made to Google CSEs to refine/improve results. That's why using a custom Google rapidshare search engine is usually the easiest, fastest and best way ;)

    I don't think google is the best way to search files.

    1) You are not able to order files (by size, alphabetically)
    2) It's not possible for Google to find out if links are dead or not
    3) Also sometimes the relevance is not good enough

    Try http://ask4file.com and you'll see what I'm talking about.

    Every search engine has it's own algortihm and way to show the results of every query. Maybe google does not fit to show the result of what you are looking for.
