first of all, I have a website, but I don't did you pick. Even so, I will eventually want to monetize my traffic. So this is something I need to figure out. Anyways, my question is, would it be best or even advisable to set up a amazon affiliate (books would probably be something I could sell/link) or just use adsense? Im already on blogspot so that was easy as pie to set up. Thank you.
If you want to be taken seriously get yourself a proper domain and hosting. It is too easy for a blogspot/wordpress site to be deleted.
Keep the blogspot....why waste money on something you aren't making money on? You can easily transfer later on when you are ready to take it to the next level. If you think Amazon would work...try it. Don't listen to people on these forums because what works for them, might not work for you. If you think books will work, there is also Barnes and Noble and many other book seller affiliate programs. I suggest you see who has the best selection for your niche and the best payout. Start testing and see if anything sells.
Yeah you should sign up with Amazon. They got a great affiliate program and you can sell anything avaliable on their site once you're signed up. Besides promoting affiliate programs on your own sites you can check out sites like Squidoo.com and HubPages.com where you can add articles with affiliate ads on them. Since these are all established sites that will include your articles as part of their website you will be able to pick up lots of traffic fast.
