Please Advice me what legal formalities is require to start professional seo business (needed complete guide).
The regulations necessary for starting up a business are different in every country, if you're in the USA I think they will be different from state to state. I could tell what you need to do in the UK - not much use if you're in Botswana.
I think in most situations it dependds on what you sell and how you package your products. It is inevitable that you will have to hire a lawyer to write clauses in contracts stating what the sevice is, what happens if there is a halt in payments, what happens if a contract is not delivered on time / to satisfaction or guidelines. Basically seo is expensive and a lot of people think they can get a free ride by causing you static - so my best advice is cover your butt!!!! It would be interesting to know if there are any set standards for seo services laid out by your government (like certain trades have to adhere to) - I have not personally heard of any. There are webmaster guidelines (for instance) set out by google / MSN ... but this is not law!!!!
Magda, I just missed your post there! I am planning on dealing with people in the UK. Would you be able enlighten me to some of the basic legislations to keep me in the loop? I think it would be really useful to share such information!
Whether you start with a bookkeeper to keep costs of a certified accountant low - you need this then you don't need to waste time attempting to understand all the financial BS (it is important but you won't get any SEOing done learning about the books & taxes, etc.). Retain a solicitor... you don't need a full time one all you really need is one to custom a set of boilerplate terms of service, contracts, NDA, NCA etc. to protect yourself. That's it... other than getting others involve to become more protective - a leads generator, salesperson, support people, etc.,etc.
Thanks friends! looking more information i have to start from india with one friend is there so hoping more information . Thanks for support !
or team up with a LLP - Limited Liability Partnership!!!! Any more advice? How can you be sure that your solicitor has covered all clauses in any contracts or agreements that need drawing out?
