I was watching Jesse Ventura's TruTV about the Apocalypse 2012 where he goes and investgate. I was just wondering, do any of you believe this stuff? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5s0xU8eN1U&feature=related
It's possible but the same thing was said for year 666, year 999, 1999, 2000 and such, so I'm guessing that it's all fake.
Is it also synonymous with Mayan Calendar 2012 so whatever happens in 2012 I think no one or anyone can know the end result unless we reach that phase already. But it is much better indeed to love our earth and become more concern with our life.
I dont believe the world will all of a sudden end because of a certain year. The only reason the world would end would be because of: -(nuclear)war -Giant meteor -Sun explodes/burns out (but that'll take a couple of billion years) -and of course: Aliens finally make contact with our planet, only to enslave the entire human race
Everyone was said that in 2000 it's gonna be The End. But it wasnt so. I think 2012 just a business that brought to this moment a lot of money.
At the 2012 olympics in london the unseen one will show itself to the world, right after winning the 100 metres. Should be interesting.
After the 1999 so-called apocalypse, do you really believe that there will be one in 2012? After 2012 the next apocalypse will be 2032 when the UNIX bug roll-over is supposed to happen and all systems running UNIX will crash. Again, another Y2K all over again.
There has been a lot of talk about whether the end of the world is in 2012... personally do I think that the world is ending then? No. But it's always best to keep an open mind and know the possibilities.
To do with the mayan calender. It is real, its just that its misunderstood, what is building up means that when it happens (not the end of the earth by the way) that most people still wont understand.
Ok, what have we learnt from science ? Everything we already know, with proof. What have we learnt from Religion? Myths and beliefs. Mayan Calendar, is pretty much a old Aztec artifact from when it had something to do with their religion. As you may have told I am atheist.
its aload of poo like every other cult belief that the world is going to end, or the millenium bug and such.
Is it possible that the belief that they had was from stuff to do with the stars though? Like part of washington in the US is laid out with a connection to the goddess venus or something like that, proven and not a coincidence.
Yes but as you said it is laid out to do with a connection to the goddess venus, somebody has to lay a city out, with planning, they could of been a religious or spiritual person, and thought something of it when was planning. Some things are coincidences but get proved, but the fact that it got proved could also be a coincidence.
But some of that connection i think goes back thousands of years, even before the alleged time of jesus. What do you think of the following: Aleister Crowley the british occultist was a fascination for jimmy page the guitarist from the group led zeppelin, jimmy bought an old house of AC's in scotland from what im aware. Led zeppelin made a track called kashmir, and if im getting this correct, from a point in america, i think again in washington, there is a connection with the longitude, distance, location whatever to kashmir near india and pakistan and waco in texas.
