Some one said "mohammed rape, pilage, murder and conquer by the sword in order to spread islam?" naoo zo bil lah Any one who said this, could he/she please tell me where did he/she get the information from, but please mention the date, place with authentic proof! But before you do i shall like to clarify a couple of doubts: POINT 0: Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and Europe. Today the fastest growing religion in America is Islam. The fastest growing religion in Europe in Islam. Which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such large numbers? POINT 1:Islam means peace. It is a common complaint among some non-Muslims that Islam would not have millions of adherents all over the world, if it had not been spread by the use of force. Islam comes from the root word ‘salaam’, which means peace. It also means submitting one’s will to Allah (swt). Thus Islam is a religion of peace, which is acquired by submitting one’s will to the will of the Supreme Creator, Allah (swt). POINT 2:Opinion of historian De Lacy O’Leary. The best reply to the misconception that Islam was spread by the sword is given by the noted historian De Lacy O’Leary in the book ’Islam at the cross road’ (Page 8): ’History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myth that historians have ever repeated.’ POINT 2.2: Thomas Carlyle. The famous historian, Thomas Carlyle, in his book ’Heroes and Hero worship’, refers to this misconception about the spread of Islam: ’The sword indeed, but where will you get your sword? Every new opinion, at its starting is precisely in a minority of one. In one man’s head alone. There it dwells as yet. One man alone of the whole world believes it, there is one man against all men. That he takes a sword and try to propagate with that, will do little for him. You must get your sword! On the whole, a thing will propagate itself as it can.’ POINT 3:Muslims ruled Spain for 800 years. Muslims ruled Spain for about 800 years. The Muslims in Spain never used the sword to force the people to convert. Later the Christian Crusaders came to Spain and wiped out the Muslims. There was not a single Muslim in Spain who could openly give the adhan, that is the call for prayers. POINT 4:14 million Arabs are Coptic Christians. Muslims were the lords of Arabia for 1400 years. For a few years the British ruled, and for a few years the French ruled. Overall, the Muslims ruled Arabia for 1400 years. Yet today, there are 14 million Arabs who are Coptic Christians i.e. Christians since generations. If the Muslims had used the sword there would not have been a single Arab who would have remained a Christian. POINT 6: More than 80% non-Muslims in India. The Muslims ruled India for about a thousand years. If they wanted, they had the power of converting each and every non-Muslim of India to Islam. Today more than 80% of the population of India are non-Muslims. All these non-Muslim Indians are bearing witness today that Islam was not spread by the sword. POINT 7: Indonesia and Malaysia. Indonesia is a country that has the maximum number of Muslims in the world. The majority of people in Malaysia are Muslims. May one ask, ’Which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia?’ POINT 8: East Coast of Africa. Similarly, Islam has spread rapidly on the East Coast of Africa. One may again ask, if Islam was spread by the sword, ’Which Muslim army went to the East Coast of Africa?’ POINT 9: No compulsion in religion. With which sword was Islam spread? Even if Muslims had it they could not use it to spread Islam because the Qur’an says in the following verse: ’Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from error’ [Al-Qur’an 2:256] POINT 10: Increase in the world religions from 1934 to 1984. An article in Reader’s Digest ‘Almanac’, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984. This article also appeared in ‘The Plain Truth’ magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235%, and Christianity had increased only by 47%. May one ask, which war took place in this century which converted millions of people to Islam? .................. Please read the reply with patience that has been taught by JESUS (pbuh) and then reply!
we know we know. God can manage to keep the Koran intact but somehow screwed up on the Bible. The dead sea scrolls verify that 2400 years passed and yet the OT managed to remain in tact. I guess the last 600 years have been rough on the Bible though. That printing press really made it difficult to make exact copies of things. The God of Islam is a freaking moron though considering he can't get his word accuratly into any language except Arabic. I guess that's because few languages have a word that even comes close to the arabic meaning of "Jihad"
What about the Holy Bible? I assume that this is an admission that we both ultimately worship the same God.Just in different ways. If so I agree. The world would be a much better place if we make a realization of this...
He already explained that the holy bible doesn't count because Islam says so. Convienent, no? Satan has many faces. God has one.
moq, you show a very great lack of knowledge about how the Books of the Bible became canon. Let me try and address some of these issues for you. Number One, you write: "POINT 6: The Original Holy Bible, the word of God is written in Hebrew. The original copy of the Holy Bible is lost. What people read are translations and additions done to the bible from time to time. So, muslims and the literate christian scholars also do not consider the present Holy Bible the word of God." First off the "Holy Bible" is two main collections of spiritual writing generally called the Old Testament and the New Testament. Obviously for Christians the New Testament is the most important of the two for it is the fulfillment of the promise which the Old Testament held out to us. Contrary to what you believe the New Testament, the more important of the two to the Christian, was written originally in Greek." None of the Books of the New Testament were ever "lost" or they would not be there. Per the Old Testament there are two primary texts from which these books are derived. They are the Textus Receptus and the Textus Vaticanus. Generally, the Textus Receptus is considered the more reliable of the two, as is witnessed by the fact that the dead sea scrolls are almost a verbatim, word for word example of these. You write: "literate christian scholars also do not consider the present Holy Bible the word of God." This is an absurdity. Please name one such Christian scholar who agrees with this. He does not exist nor could he as this would be a contradiction in terms. You write: "POINT 7: Even if we agree for discussion sake that the present Bible is the true word of God, which it is not, tell me how many times in the holy Bible has JESUS(PBUM) himself said that I am God ?" Many times. Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him]. Jhn 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him]. Jhn 14:9 ...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; Jhn 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Jhn 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. And remember this, moq, all true Christians believe the Word of God Holy. So when we read: Jhn 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jhn 1:14 ¶ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. We KNOW of whom we speak, praise His Holy name. As for there being no word "trinity" in the Bible, well, there is no word Bible in the Bible either... but just as surely as there IS a Bible, there is also a Trinity. The Trinity of God of which is spoken of so often in the Holy Bible. Both in the OT and the NT. Hope this answers your questions brother. IN Christ
DEADCORN "Contrary to what you believe the New Testament, the more important of the two to the Christian, was written originally in Greek." REPLY 1: Can any church in the world declare that it has the original copy written in Greek. The answer is no. "literate christian scholars also do not consider the present Holy Bible the word of God." This is an absurdity. Please name one such Christian scholar who agrees with this. REPLY 2: Dr. W. Graham Scroggie of the MOODY BIBLE INSTITUTE, Chicago, one of the most prestigious Christian Evangelical Mission in the world, answering the question — "Is the Bible the Word of God?" (also the title of his book), under the heading: IT IS HUMAN, YET DIVINE. He says on page 17: "Yes, the Bible is human, though some, out of zeal which is not according to knowledge, 1 have denied this. Those books2 have passed through the minds of men, are written in the language of men, were penned by the hands of men, and bear in their style the characteristics of men." (Emphasis added). Another erudite Christian scholar, Kenneth Cragg, the Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem, says on page 277 of his book, "The Call of the Minaret": "Not so the New Testament3 . . . There is condensation and editing; 4 there is choice, reproduction and witness. The Gospels have come through the mind of the Church behind the authors. They represent experience and history." 5 Even if we agree for discussion sake that the present Bible is the true word of God, which it is not, tell me how many times in the holy Bible has JESUS(PBUM) himself said that I am God ?" Many times. REPLY 3: We Muslims have no hesitation in acknowledging that in the Bible, there are three different kinds of witnessing recognizable without any need of specialized training. These are: 1. You will be able to recognize in the Bible what may be described as "The Word of God." 2. You will also be able to discern what can be described as the "Words of a Prophet of God." 3. And you will most readily observe that the bulk of the Bible is the records of eye witnessess or ear witnesses, or people writing from hearsay. As such they are the "Words of a Historian" You do not have to hunt for examples of these different types of evidences in the Bible. The following quotations will make the position crystal clear: The FIRST Type: (a) I will raise them up a prophet . . . and I will put my words in ... and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." (Deuteronomy 18:18) (b) I even, I am the Lord, and beside me there is no saviour." (Isaiah 43:11) (c) "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the end of the earth: for I am God, and there is non else." (Isaiah 45:22) Note the first person pronoun singular (highlighted in green) in the above references, and without any difficulty you will agree that the statements seem to have the sound of being GOD'S WORD. The SECOND Type: (a) "Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying Eli, Eli, lama sabachtani? . . ." (Matthew 27:46) (b) "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord:" (Mark 12:29) (c) "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God." (Mark 10:18). Even a child will be able to affirm that: Jesus "cried" Jesus "answered" and Jesus "said" are the words of the one to whom they are attributed, i.e. the WORDS OF A PROPHET OF GOD. The THIRD Type: "And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he, (JESUS) came, if haply he (JESUS) might find anything thereon: and when he (JESUS) came to it, (Jesus) found nothing but leaves . . ." (Mark 11:13) The bulk of the Bible is a witnessing of this THIRD kind. These are the words of a third person. Note the underlined pronouns. They are not the Words of God or of His prophet, but the WORDS OF A HISTORIAN. REPLY 4: It does not please, for the mere reason that you do not answer my question, Is the word trinity mentioned in The Bible that you read. I hope that answers ur queries! ALLAH IS MERCIFUL, THE HOLY QURAN IS THE GUIDING LIGHT!
Everything you said can be disproved in one prophecy made by Jesus Matthew 24:11 "and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people." Muhammed was a false prophet, he has deceived one billion people. Get it?
The word trinity was a word invented to describe a very real Biblical truth. The word trinity is not in the Bible because God is not limited to three manifestations. He was also a burning bush, a still small voice, etc. When someone tries to argue that the word trinity isn't in the Bible and is therefore false says more about the person arguing in than those who believe in the trinity. It means you have no clue what the "trinity" is. Nobody ever claimed the word is in the Bible. The concept however is. God does in fact have three very important roles: father, son and holy ghost. And then whatever else he wants to be as well.
Get the facts straight... POINT 6.1: The Muslims didnt rule the Current Geography of India. They had influnence only over a certain parts of Current India (North India, Delhi and around...) They were not able to cross the Vindhya Mountains. POINT 6.2: They had the power of converting Non-Muslim and they did it so well, Other wise there wont be a single muslim in India/Pakistan. POINT 6.3: One of the Most brutal example of 'Either convert Or die' is Aurangjeb, the Muslim Moughal Sultan (King) who forced Non-Muslims (Hindus) to pay Jajia Tax, eat beef and Giving up on Hinduism and to convert to Islam. Those, who denied, were killed by his army. POINT 6.4: All these 80% Non-Muslims are also bearing witness today that they are being killed by bomb blasts and guns by Muslim terrorist. And hell why only Non-Muslims?? Even Muslims are bearing witness to that too.
It's a very sad irony. Moq is whining because the word Trinity isn't in the Bible but the fact is the definition of "Trinity" is very much in the Bible. The definition of the Trinity is the true God. Since Allah lacks a son and the Holy Ghost, he is by definition of Trinity (the true God as found in the Bible) a false God; Satan. The sad Irony is found in the word "Islam." Although the word Trinity (like the word Bible) are not found in the Bible, the definitions are. In Islam, Peace is found in the Koran but the definition is not. Look it up. The Koran has no concept of what peace actually is. The context in which the word is used never has anything to do with real peace. At best, Islam is not living up to it's name. At worst, and more likely, the name was given to the religion as trickery. Like a venus fly trap it is pleasant to the unsuspecting but once you are sucked in you can only accept your fate: spiritual death if you stay, physical death if you leave (unless by the grace of the real God you joined the religion in a country not ruled by Islam). You can call a ravinous monster a bunny all you want but it's still going to rip your head off.
Good one not to forget to mention about credibility of muslims ... They deny the holocaust the same way as they deny the Bible, aren't they? Is there anything else to say?
Dang, and I thought I could get home and relax... oh, well, I asked for it... As for point number 1. You write: "REPLY 1: Can any church in the world declare that it has the original copy written in Greek." No, nor does any need to. I ask you can you produce for me one hair of Mohammed's head to prove that he were ever alive? Of course not, but even Christians acknowledge that he was alive. Even muslims acknowledge that Jesus was alive. Our Bible is the Living Word not a dead thing written on cloth. It is living just as the Holy Spirit is living within us. Jesus was only said to have written one thing, and it was in the sand... We live on faith. We are Christians... we do not have to bow three times towards a city, or enter a room without shoes on our feet. Our religion is of faith, not of spectacle. The Words of our Lord we know to be true. The "Original" lives within us. Point 2. You write: "REPLY 2: Dr. Those books2 have passed through the minds of men, are written in the language of men, were penned by the hands of men, and bear in their style the characteristics of men." (Emphasis added)." Well, moq, it is obvious you do not know of what you write. It is obvious because you obviously did nothing more than surf the web, tell me please, what is on page 18. Do you not understand what he means by - it is human YET DIVINE?? Did not Mohammed dictate the words we find in the Koran? Were they not written down??? Try reading actual books instead of surfing the web and you may not only be taken seriously, you may actually learn something. This is the site which you gained your "scholarly insight" for anyone else who might like to read such half-baked bunk: http://www.haroonsaadiq.com/comp/cntradct.htm It was taken down by our young scholar from a pop bit, you've heard of pop-psychology? Well, our boy moq here dabbles in pop-intellectualism. Point 3. You write: "1. As such they are the "Words of a Historian. It is very easy for an outsider from another planet to believe that earthlings are short and squat and have four round feet and emit gasses from a pipe and that now and again their brains get out of their bodies and go shopping for sustenance. They are from another planet. Muslims suffer the same outside looking in failure. What you neglected to say in your three points is that ALL of the Bible is divine. AS we Christians believe. It is filled of the Holy Spirit. Not some of it - all of it. You lack the Holy Spirit. You cannot understand Him. I believe this is why you are so filled with hatred and vengeance and suffer so much strife war and death. Your book is empty and you therefore believe in dead letters on dead parchment. There is no Life in your book as there is in the Holy Bible. As for your asking, yet again, if there is the word "trinity" found in the Holy Bible. I have already answered that the word is not, just as the word Bible is not in the Bible, yet there IS a bible, and there IS a Trinity. INcidentally there is also no word in the Holy Bible for Jihad, though there is such a thing. It is found in the dead words on parchment of an ugly and bloody false religion called Islam. Hope this answers your question brother. In Christ, the Way, the Lord and Saviour, who Died on the Cross so that sins may be forgiven.
The most wonderful thing about Quran is that it is in the same shape it was 1400 years ago. But Bible, it has been changed by your priests so that they could live as they wish, and get all the girls. You can see how dirty west is right now. AND IN THE NEXT 50 YEARS THIS WILL BE WILL BE THE REASON OF ITS DOWNFALL. I got you good this time
There's an ongoing falling apart from faith in Christianity and that is sad. These are those that find appologies for you and your buddies and even worse in many cases, they become atheists, but not terrorists like your buddies. The bible has not changed, a priest can't change the bible, but in many cases the gave and give misinterptretations of it. What about your imams? There will be a great revival, not to compare with that we have seen so far. Most of them will be muslims converting to Jesus and Christianity. Amen
