200% CTR... help

i logged in today and i see a channel having 1 page impression but 2 clicks, therefore a CTR of 200%.

i'm not joking. i totally can't explain it...

help, i don't want my account banned... what do i do?

 

Calm down. You won't lose account because of that... this can be normal.

Normal wouldn't be if you would have 100 impressions and 200 clicks.

 

the law of large numbers come into play in situations like this... if you have only 1 impression, it could very well be a genuine case...

 

its probably becuase your impressions hasnt updated yet

 

2 clicks from 1 impression is nothing to get banned for.

it's really easy- you usually have more than one Ad in one Ad unit. Just click 2 Ad's on your page while holding shift (to open Ad's in new window) and you'll get 200% CTR

One of my deep level pages once got 1 impression and 7 clicks...
I do actually, quite often still get over 100% CTR on minor, minor channels.

 

if you are afraid, go to your page and refresh it few times And you won't get banned.

Yeah I get this eery now and then, always astounds me how google can have a mathematically algorithm so flawed!

Well not technically flawed, but flawed in the eyes of many of us lamens

 

maybe impressions update a bit later? that's what i've noticed quite often.
