Link wheel creation means creating pages with web 2.0 properties like hubpages, squidoo etc and interlink those in such a manner that they bring maximum link juice to your main site...it can boost your rankings within a wek or so...

Till few months ago, it worked but unfortunately Google has cached this system and they degrade these links like reciprocal linking campaigns...better you don't waste your time and efforts on it and continue doing what you normally do to get legit backlinks.

Will it be helpful,if instead of creating whole linkwheel I will only submit blogs to Blogsome, Xanga, Slideshare, tumblr, livejournal, wordpress.com, wetpaint, blogger, scribd and vox websites.

Link wheel to be specific. I hear warrior talk about using web 2.0 sites for their link wheel. Now, i know with squidoo and hub pages you can just make a page and put an article or what have you with a link pointing back to your site, but i hear people use bloggers and wordpress to do that as well.

Link wheels are a fantastic way of announcing to Google that you are trying to manipulate the SERPs. This is my second favourite way of telling Google that I have every intention of cheating the system - my first is to drop an email to Matt Cutts and provide him with a list of all the sites I'm spamming the SERPs with, followed by the line "come and get me".

Works like a charm - I am now ranked #115 for "make money online".

Completely agree with you...it totally sucks....so my advice would be to stay away from it...it ruined my hard gained rankings for couple of sites...those who have been the victim of this money making SEO hype by few so called gurus, I would suggest to take back all those web 2.0 or change their linking structure to go far away from your site...you may link those to your online articles...that again not in a chain...it worked for me up to better extent:rolleyes:...additionally I would advice newbies in online business that don't ever experiment with your main site directly...whether its some profile creations or some shit like link wheel...The ONLY best way for long term fortune is, fresh content everyday, along with that few relevant comment links, forum sig and bookmarks will be just fine:)

    My 2 cents!

Link wheels are a great way for building authority and backlinks for your sites.

They are effective and still work, but it is definitely harder to get good results with the traditional style of link wheels.

Link wheels are nothing new, and if you want to make the most of them, you need to alter your strategy.

The link wheel is essentially a link structure where a bunch or blogs for example link in a one way link in a circular fashion.
    Site A -> Site B -> Site C -> Site D -> Site A = Circle sharing link juice.
Also you have all of the sites with one way links to your main site. So the blogs share link juice then feed it to your main site.
The method is quite old and has become next to impossible to properly utelize. I myself have been developing my own method which will be released in the next few months via eBook. Keep your eyes open

It's actually easy to do. All you have to do is add 1 link to your money page/main buffer site, and 1 link to the next property in your wheel.

You just keep doing that until you come to the last property.

I recommend you don't close the wheel i.e. don't link your last property to the first.

Its where around 6 sites that you have made have an article related to your main site and then all the 6 sites link to each other in a wheel and each of those 6 sites have a link back to your main website

So its benefits are solely on SEO or you'll also get a direct traffic from this?

Its not solely SEO because if done correctly some of the properties should rank for your keywords...
