A proper well layed out site from a SEO point of view. I think Jeff Johnson was the one who said blogs were the way to go and google loves blogs (not mine ) thoughts?
Well, having your own website with the articles on it might be the best way to go, but ultimately it depends on what you are attempting to do. Article marketing (articles on article directories) is great for building backlinks, you are more likely to have better chance of having the articles rank well because the article directories often have authority (particularly ezinearticles) in the search engines. So there is just some really good benefits to article marketing given the right circumstances.
Thanks for replying. I don't want to drive traffic to articles- tried it and failed miserably. I just want to concentrate on building a good site with plenty of content.
I usually build a site and then have a /blog sub on it. It's a little extra work, but I get the best of both worlds.
It is true, google does love blogs. And some viewers love blogs as well because it creates a sense of connection (anyone can build a blog..not everyone can build a website). I personally prefer blogs but it really depends on your niche and what your purpose is.
most blog platforms come with built in rss syndication, ping features which helps in marketing to some extent.
Definitely agree with webcosmo, most of my ventures have used Wordpress, since it's free and end game is looking at ROI. You also get a lot of freebie widgets & plugins that can really help you with SEO & eventual popularity.
I love blogs and for me, are easier to promote. Search engines also love them. Its easier also to maintain. So, I can say blog with 20 articles.
