By now i am sure that you would have read one of these "guru" articles on the internet about one thing or another. Firstly, Guru's are just normal people who have a way with words to make you believe what they have said. In a way i could refer to them as "scammers"; because they "trick" you into their methods and ideas. HENCE, their high level of website traffic because people "go back" for more "useful information"; when in fact it is all drible... More to the point of this thread... Many "online guru's" state that you should host your adsense based websites with multiple hosting companies (I am sure they "kindly" provide a list of hosts as well) because they claim the Different IP Addresses help to increase revenue. This is wrong! It is wrong because Google Adsense do not care about what IP Address the Adsense Code is Hosted on. Google Adsense care about the content of your website, and whether your being legitimate or not. Why Website Guru's are getting mixed up? It is a myth; that different IP Addresses can help with Website SEO. Because linking from different IP addresses "could possibly" increase the number of links "pointing" back to your website. I say that this is a myth... Because Google can now look at other factors such as Who Is Records and Patterns to determine who owns the site. It is part of Black Hat SEO and can get your site Removed from Google's Index. I hope that this has enlightened you all about Adsense & SEO
I have to agree with this. I think the ip address has very little to do with seo. At best just get a dedicated ip if your worried about other sites hosted on the same ip as you. I pay $2 a month for it, big deal.
That's a shock to me. I was using multiple IPs for linking sites between each other and was absolutelly sure that linking from one IP would be definitely regarded as link farm. So, what is the best strategy to do proper linking today?
I believe that the best Strategy would be to build links from various relevant sources. I have 10 sites on one server that link to "my Main" site and it has been given a PR3 because of these... Of course it has a few other links aswell but the 10 have helped.
I've read your message but honestly, I've never seen such a message. It might be because I only read webmaster stuff 5 hours a day and that I missed these things, but heck everything possible these days What I've read though is the interlinking, to get higher search engine positions. It has nothing to do with Adsense, but it's part of their algorithm that links that come from the same IP are getting less weight than links from other IP's. But since Google's algorithm is so big it's nothing to worry about. If you could get 500 more visitors via a link from a website on the same IP, I'd say go for it, and even if you could only get one. As long as you don't massa-interlink between your sites on the same IP there is no problem.
