Covert Traffic into Sales - Help!!!

I need some ideas on how to market this website to convert the current traffic into sales on this website. Were getting 100 visitors a day, however, only receiving a few sales a week. So our traffic is good but our sales are low.

What do you think this website needs to convert traffic into more sales? Does it need a better, professional look? What strikes you when you first go to this website that would make you NOT want to buy?

    Any help is appreciated...

    Thanks!!

blob of black text...that is the first impression... all black and white

maybe you can hire some models and take some colorful pictures with warmer tone... just my 2 cents

First off, are you sure you are getting 700 (REAL) visitors a week (100 a day)?

Depending on the price, in most cases, sales rate can range from 1 sale out of every 100 or so visitors, up to around 200.

Many of your products are over $100, so expect 1 sale out of every 200, if not more than 200.

    That is average.

So, let's say that you are actually getting only 500 a week. If you are getting 2-3 sales a week, that is average. It is nothing to be concerned about.

It can be better, of course. It could be at least 3 sales, consistently

Where are your visitors coming from? That makes a difference also.

If some are coming in from search engines, just know that the majority of organic traffic is notorious for not buying anything.

They are curiosity seekers, bored people, clicking on links, hopping from site to site...

When your visitors click on the "more info" link, it should take them to an ordering page too. Put it underneath the product.

Get them at the heat of the moment. If there is one, that is.

Get rid of the scroll bar on the bottom.

For major companies that sell such products, look at their sites for ideas.

But, of course, don't copy them to the letter.

Landing pages are the most important aspect of any proper marketing strategy. I think your shopping cart area and your bottom content could have a better design.

Another important aspect is your traffic. Traffic with a bad landing page is worse than a good landing page with no traffic. Because you could use that traffic to monetize something else. Make sure that the traffic that you're relying on is quality traffic.

I don't know , what is your site about ??
so for people like me , you must have a clear message , put it as description under the title or in a box over the products ..

Its actually my clients website for SEO. I mentioned to him that he needs a landing page or an overall new clean look. I think the dark tones can set a customer off... Its a Volusion cart so there also is some limitations which can be frustrating.

The real question would be, are you targeting the right people to visit your site? Judging from your product you could be targetting small businesses, schools, students... who else needs lights?

And this may be the problem... You gave a good example. These lights are not met for small businesses or schools, there therapy lights for winter blues or seasonal Affective Disorder. So maybe he needs to make that more obvious as well, that it is for light therapy......

I tried to put myself in your visitors shoes. I spent roughly 30 seconds on your website. I'm still not exactly sure what you're offering exactly. I know it has something to do with Light Therapy, which, I have no clue what that is. What does light therapy do for you? Also, I didn't even know it was light therapy stuff for at least several seconds because your banner was very slow loading on my end. I was looking through your website products and still wasn't exactly clear on what it was, i just knew it had something to do with lights.

The general consensus is that people should know what your website is about in 7 seconds. You should also give them solutions to their problems directly on the front page.

Like I said, I still don't know what light therapy is, i'm sure I would had I spent some more time looking through the sub-pages, but I wanted to be a realistic visitor to your website for this review. Your website doesn't solve any problems. If it helps acne, this should be stated quickly and in very visible letters.

Those are just a couple of things I would recommend working on.

Yeah I agree with that. It seems (no offence) sort of cluttered. When you get to the homepage you should have a description of what your site is all about. There's all these random items on the first page.... maybe split the products into categories and then have the categories on the first page so it's easy to navigate through and the visitor gets a clear idea of what the site is all about.... and will probably trust you more aswell.

I think the visitor might find it a bit too much when they see all the products... needs a better layout
