On an unmetered 10mbps link you can technically do 6.6TB per month on a steady basis if you are transferring full duplex. So 5TB is less than that. In any case, there are no bandwidth overage charges and no bandwidth quotas.

    10 mbps = 10 megabits per second, (10 X 60) megabits per minutes, (10 X 60 X 60) megabits per hour, (10 X 60 X 60 X 24) megabits per day.

Take 864000 megabits per day and divide it by 8 and you get 108 Gigabytes per day both in and out since this is full duplex. Now 208 GB per day times 30 is 6480 GB per month assuming the server is used every day. That's a lot more than 5TB.

There is nothing shady about this at all. The problem is that you are poor at math and on top of that have no knowledge of networking or the hosting business.

Practically 5 TB is not suitable on 10 mbps. Theoretically it is possible.

For people who expect to be able to burst it is definately not suitable but if someone is running for example proxy sites or streaming media sites which are doing from 8mbps to 10mbps constantly then it is very easy to achieve. This is why I put the 10mbps there too.
