How to do SEO for the keyword "credit card'?

Hi all I am working for one client site for optimize for the keyword "credit card". So what are the special strategy I have to own for it? The site is already rank on 22 on google.com. Thank you.

 

It's a very tough keyword. However, if you're already ranking #22, it should be easier to move onward. Simple: Get a lot of backlinks, preferably in-content ones.

 

it's really high keyword, so i think you need ton of backlink... 3 way link exchange will help.

 

If I make some blog post on the community site then will it help me?

 

I think that your client is going to have to seek out a 3rd party linkbuilding service for a term like that. There are a few in NYC.

 

i will suggest creating a link wheel with unique content of atleast 10-12 web 2.0 sites with anchor link at the keyword charge card this will show you quick result .

Makes me wonder if you just started working for that site. Given such a high rank, for one of the most competitive terms out there, I would have reasonably expected a more in depth question.

That being said I'd try a 5-10 spoke Web 2.0 LinkWheel to start and go from there.

 

there is still many work that you can do mate, do this step by step...

- submit that link on nofollow site (but use relevant niche)
- incontent link , make your link seem natural
- profile link (it's really help and low cost)
- that link wheel , use web 2.0 or any site. Don't forget to give some touch to that websites first
- make team, you can move by you own sefl on that keyword. It's big compititor...

If you know how to get your site ranking #22 for such a competitive keyword, I would assume you know what you are doing, boss. Try article submissions? works best for me so far..

 

-Create articles and submit then on various article directories everyday.
-Create websites closely related to credit cards(like loans, insurance, cars, house hold products) and place in content links to the site with anchor text as "keyword".
-Just keep posting spinned or rewritten content on blogs or sites with the keyword in place.

 

I like your advice. I am trying to get link by commenting on high PR dofollow blogs.

Now I want to try to linkwheel strategy.

 

Actually #22 was baseline rank, so I do not know how they optimize this site. Now we are doing SEO work ourself here.

 

Are you sure that you are sitting at that place? Have you made sure that you have opted out of personalized search?

I doubt highly that this can be done. The "Credit Card" term is the monster of all monsters. That first page (where everyone will go) is full of multi-BILLION pound companies that can afford to thrash out as much money as possible to stay ahead of the pack.

 

I dont believe that they will let someone that doesn't know basic terms in SEO to make billions of dollars campaign.

Or you are just very very lucky guy .

very tough keyword..

 

you need to cover credit card as a main keyword and its related credit keyword which help to get in rank.

 

simple hi do follow backlinks related to your website try ones pr5 or above.

 

It is very hard to rank but if ur ranking no is 22 it should be easier to move onward but still need high pr quality backlink.
