You have to start from basic.

First: Do On Page changes. Add Title, Meta Description, Meta Keywords, add AlT Tags and create sitemap for your site and submit it on Google Webmaster.

Second: Do Off Page work like Directory submission, Classified Submission, Social bookmarking, Article Submission, Press Release Submission etc. and then try to get back links from High PR & Relevant sites.

If you are newbie then only you should get some quality backlinks from high PR sites.

1)Use OnlyWire.com for social bookmarking (alternative - Socialmarker.com)
2)Use Forums. Add your link in a signature.
3)Use a lot of Twitter
4)Use Facebook for finding clients

 

Seems like the side bar stuff show go on the right side of the body text, not the left.

 

Write some good articles and post on article submission directories.

 

Add your site to all the search engines you can find first
